These are ones that I remember (my contributions in italics). MY ADDITIONS IN BOLD Things Unique to each season: Season 1: No merge buffs, The Gong Season 2: 42 days first player who left the game due to medical evacuation Season 3: No water challenges Season 4: Confessionals while laying [sic] down on the floor, shelter [What do you mean by "shelter"?] Season 5: Living together as separate tribes, Merged tribe of 8 Season 6: duo confessionals, Everyone has their own machete Season 7: Outcasts Season 8: All returning players, merged tribe of 9 Season 9: Season 10: Some players were never on a tribe; No merge first appearance of Exile Island Season 11: first appearance of hidden immunity idol Season 12: Tribes split by age Season 13: Tribes split by race Season 14: ~~Special effects~~ Someone quits before the game begins and is not replaced with an alternate winner by unanimous jury vote Season 15: Special effects

You were going for the only time ceratin things had happened. And while you're talking about the previous 15 seasons there's no way until Survivor ends if your unique events will stay unique or if we'll see it happen again, which would then make it a 'first'. For instance, when Osten quit I thought that was something we'd never see again because nobody would endure the embarrassment of going on the show only to quit. Since then we've had Janu and Kathy, not to mention the 'vote me off' quits of Jeff, Ashley, Chet, and Jonny Fairplay. Same thing about the medivac. When that happened to Skupin I seriously thought it would be something never seen again because even though Survivor is tough a medical emergency is so incredibly random. Since then there've been three others (two of which were considered life-threatening in Bruce and Penner)

Season 6 is the only season to ever have someone give away their immunity at TC (and put themselves at risk doing so). Jenna gave to Heidi in a successful strategic move and yes... Borneo did have a merge buff... although S10 did not... S10 Palau did not technically have a merge... Stephanie was "absorbed" into Koror and given a Koror buff. The group did not get new buffs nor did they get to choose a new name (which makes this unique... all other seasons had a new merge name and new buff) ETA: added the disclaimer to the original statement (in brackets) Last Edited By: Phoenix1269 03/30/08 12:51 PM. Jenna actually took a risk in giving up immunity... there was a chance (even if it was small) that this could backfire on her and she could have been voted out. And this makes it still the only time that this has happened.
