ellie, if you have videos of Clay singing in the style I've described, please share them...I've love to hear/see them.....

Where did you describe it, ILGE? I thought it was suckshardcore that did it? Clay has lots of songs without any glory notes. Probably the majority of them, actually. Here are a few.

This new song shows that Clay is perfecting the art of singing quietly and emotionally. If you listen to the way he always flubbed singing gently on AI ("Somewhere Out There" anyone?) and follow it to ATDW where he was SO much better at it. Especially with Lover All Alone. He's really working it on this new song. Shame that it's not a better song. I give it a solid meh. A very pretty meh, but still meh. He sounds god though. No oversinging or glory notes. And the chorus kinda catches you after a bit. I hope it catches on better with a lot more people.

I left it alone for a while then went back and listened again. His voice really has matured! And he's definitely grown as an artist. And the song is catchier and....i don't know..."popier" than the first listens I gave it.

Clay is at Planet Hollywood in Times Square and is going to be doing the Handprint Ceremony. How cool to have his handprint included among all of the other stars on their Wall of Fame.
