I don't get Carly. I don't think she is that great. She just doesn't connect with me at all.
And how is that song inspirational? Her rationale was almost absurd as Michael John's. It must be a bad night when I think Kristy was better than most. |

6. Carly Smithson - "The Show Must Go On" (Queen)
Odd pitch issue at the beginning. Nice phrasing early, but it goes awry about halfway through. Then there's some wacky scream-sung "woo-oh"s. Just odd. It seems to derail after the first pitch problem. umm..I dunno. 4? Randy: Started good, middle pitchy, ended ok. Disconnected for me Paula: Something I'm gonna agree with. Voice is totally pretty perfect, but I didn't feel engaged with you. Simon: You look good. I thought it was an unusual song choice. Oversang it and lost control of it in the end. Came over as an angry performance that is out of synch with the theme. You might be in trouble tonight. |

The only thing I've been inspired to do by these awful performances tonight is turn the TV off which I would have done but I wanna see Brooke.
