I don't actually hate any of them tonight. It's inspirational night and they mostly did well, except that Brooke was below par. I find Brooke the most pathetic and it's hard to hate her anymore when she so clearly is out of her league. She cried even when she wasn't criticized, and cried just looking at her family in the audience, and of course had to identify them. Someone that dependent and emotionally fragile is not fit to be in a brutal contest like this. She needs to get some self esteem, and eat some real food and get fit enough to handle this. Otherwise Brooke should go back to singing in her living room for family, where she feels at ease.



At 24 she's not a child, we know she's performed on many stages and has a cd and a video out, but she acts like a 14 year old at her first recital. Ryan noted she was trembling and she agreed. With her wild eyes, welling up with t.ears for no reason. It's just too sad! I can't hate someone who sings You've Got a Friend, voice cracking, off key, and thinks it will be good enough to continue in American Idol! It would have been fine to sing to a nursery of toddlers. Not on this show.



Brooke is marginally worse than Carly as a performer; yet she is going to outlast her this week, solely because of the sentimentality. Yes, I think people feel sorry for her, think they understand her, and don't want to hurt her feelings.
