Eventually. He was enough of a target already that they would have eventually attempted a blindside. And if it was a blindside, he wouldn't have known he needed to play it. The fact that everyone knew just made them try it sooner rather than later. With the Yul-style idol, it made sense to tell everyone. But with the new idol rules, agreed - KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!

If Ozzy used it last week, he would have had to win every IC until the end. The damn thing is no good, unless someone let's you know a blindside is coming, the only sure time you could use it is final 4.

The swing votes (Alexis & Parvati in my opinion) could've easily be bribed, threatened or sweet talked given the opportunity. Especially Alexis (and I suppose Natalie). It isn't like they have some tight alliance with Cirie.

But in this case she needed Parvati for the diversion so she could unearth it. In general, no one should ever be told. She shouldn't have told Cirie either, that could have backfired. That's probably why she asked Cirie for her "word" that she wouldn't have voted her out if the circumstances were different. I bet the part of that conversation that was cut out was Amanda telling Cirie about the idol.

But it is damn good in a merge or tie vote situation. Fans vs Faves were really 3-3, and Amanda nuulified the Fan votes.

I think once someone knows or suspects you have it, you should just play it even if you think you dont need as it just puts a big target on your back. A lot of people think that yul's use of the idol was the correct way to play an idol; but in reality his idol was different in that season as he could play his idol after the votes were read - so there was no blind side risk to yul. I remember at the final tribal council where yul said the biggest risk he took in the game was getting johnathon to switch through the idol - however, this is laughable as what risk did yul really take?

Dumbass, Jonathon could have told Adumb to vote for Becky or Sundra, and Yul would have lost the number advantage If Yul didnt tell Jonathon, Yul's idol would vote one of Raro off, and they will be even, with Yul losing his idol, and probably forcing a tie next round
