The 'lil guy is way competitive and when he saw who was in his group, he knew he was gonna lose. Crappy defeatist attitude? Yeah, but I thought it was pretty obvious too. I didn't like his locker punching tantrum either, but I can sure understand it. With regard to Dale's work load, who else was gonna do it? I started out this season really wanting to dislike Richard the FauxHawk, but I just can't. The guy is absolutely in love with his career, enjoys the hell out of it and excells in it. He's gentlemanly and courteous. Has he had a snarky bitchfest yet? What he did with his win last night was stellar. I'll be really surprised if he doesn't win this whole thing. Nikki, you're an idiot. I dunno how that translates into Italian, but it's also known as "moron" here. The Lisa puppet thing is totally cracking me up, btw. Perfect likeness, except that, yes, the puppet is cuter. And has a better hair cut. "Culinary boner" is one of the best sound bites evar!

Any Chicago folks on the board? I'm wondering if he was part of the Marcheti family that owns Como Inn. We used to go there every Easter as a kid. Kinda thinking no though because that wedding would have been a LOT higher end if it was Marcheti family - that main guy owns one of the world's most coveted Ferrari collections. Whitey: The groom was the son of the late Joe Marchetti, so yes, it is the same family. I actually recognized the mom . . . I used to know a member of the Marchetti family, but haven't seen her for a lot of years. If you watch closely, you can see that the reception was held at Galeria Marchetti, which is part of the groom's business, along with another smaller restaurant named after his dad. You can see the white Galeria Marchetti tent from the expressway just north of downtown. So not only did they save tons of money (and got to advertise their business) by having the wedding catered by a tv show, they didn't even have to pay for the reception hall/tent, because they own it. Maybe the family business is not doing so well ever since the Como Inn closed (that place was legendary). Or maybe it was a shotgun wedding, and they had to plan things quickly.

Dale, his anger was correct in many ways, but could have channeled it better and stepped up as leader instead. "culinary boner" is best reality TV sound bite ever, Andrew is fawking hilarious! Bitch face Lisa and her cake was a joke. I'm sure it tasted good, but WTF was she even thinking. Simple doesn't need to look like a fucking grain barge on the Mississippi! Her attitude alone needs her to be tossed. The sabotaged bit next week is a great thing to look forward to!

What's better yet is that they both seem to stand a pretty good chance of going to the end. The only thing I think that could prevent that is if they want to be SURE of a female win, so they eliminate Richard along the way and have Stephanie vs. Antonia (whom I DON'T much like) in the finale...

Posts: 345 (05/08/08 2:41 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Richard was a true class act and gets better every episode. he plays well with others, is charming, gracious and can cook. a REAL top chef all the way around. andrew is still my love. at them not letting him out in public. and even funnier that he agreed and was happier in the kitchen anyway. either that guy is a speed freak, or he is over-the-top passionate about cooking. too bad that passion doesn't translate into his dishes. I was really sad his food tanked last night.

Or maybe they're huge fans of the show and jumped at the opportunity to offer their guests a unique experience. Let's face it, unless you're directly involved in the wedding party or the bride and groom do something unexpected, most wedding receptions are cookie-cutter snooze-fests regardless of the amount of money spent.

I sure hope not! I don't understand why there's so much emphases on the sex of the winner, why can't it just be about the best chef? That said, I do like Stephanie, and I think she may have a chance at winning this season. Now that that hack Nikki is finally gone, it'll get interesting to see how the rest battle it out. I still think Richard, Dale, and Stephanie are the three front runners, and last night Richard showed total class and leadership. As for Dale, I can understand his frustration, but dude needs anger management, and I agree that he should have taken charge instead of sulking like he did.

I also like Dale because he brings some bitchy drama so I can tolerate his arrogance. Bitchface Lisa needs to go. Her cake looked like diarrhea. Thank god Nikki left... she was terrified of being labeled as 'in charge'. Spike and Andrew... is it bad that I can't be bothered to tell them apart?
