Will anyone ever give up their immunity again? |

It's just been Jenna, right?

Marcellus might if he ever makes it onto Survivor.

Burton's shouldn't count, though, because he was immune regardless. He lost nothing by giving it up.

Yep.
Jenna still stands as the only person dumb enough to give up her immunity. imo the only thing dumber than giving up your immunity is to NOT vote out someone who just gave up her immunity. (Rob C I'm looking at you!) |

Highly unlikely, after what happened to the Good Humor Man.

The only possible situation where it would be okay: You get sent to Exile Island at F5 (or whatever round is the last time the Idol could be played) and find
the HII. The next day you win Immunity.
It would be justified in that situation or some other situation where you would still be immune after giving it up. |

HighlanderGeek wrote: Jenna's move wasn't a dumb one, as it guaranteed Christy's boot. Rob at that point though Matt was a jury threat and became convinced that he
needed to go to the end with Jenna. Giving immunity to Heidi ensured that Rob wouldn't vote for Jenna or her BFF Heidi, but instead the deaf girl who kept
blabbing about how powerful she was.

someone might give it away if the rules were the same as the HII, ie played after the votes were cast - that would put a whole new spin on the way people vote.
and maybe, just maybe make otherwise boooring tribal's interesting.

It will repeat again if Erik comes back for another season.

I actually think giving up immunity will become much more popular after this season. I think when one person does something like this, it tends to start a
trend. If you'll notice, that's exactly what happened when James failed to play his immunity idols. The next season, TWO people did it. So I definitely
think we'll be seeing a lot more of this in the future.....

Giving away immunity has always been the most worthless Survivor twist. Though it's only slightly worse than "Does anybody wanna switch tribes?"

There's gotta be some situations where giving up immunity might be beneficial...
If you're in a minority alliance and the majority alliance has some cracks in it, giving up immunity last second might split up votes and allow your minority alliance to gain some control... idk it would be kind of risky but I could see it possibly being a good move... And then if you had the HII and were apart of a minority alliance that could possibly regain control, I could see the usefulness of it there too... I was always hoping that in Exile Island Terry and Sally could have used a threat tactic to keep the two of them in the game longer... Like tell Aras (or more people) that they were voting for him (or them) and that Terry was giving Sally the HII to use at TC... Or he could have just given immunity to her and seen if the people would have risked voting for him or going after themselves... survivors need to use the threat-tactic more often. |

Natalie should at least let Erik screw her.

Well, the less the players care about sticking around, the more likely they are to give up guaranteed safety. So as long as we keep getting mactor recruits in
the casting, we'll get more immunity give-aways.
Thank you, Survivor casting. Thank you. |
