The travel pack appears to have the AR colous on it, they're colour co-ordinated, with a camera crew, and we know there's an african-american team.
Sounds promising to me. |

It seems this cast is all over the place in the fact that many of these teams are repeats from various seasons:
Blonde Girls: Season 10, 11, 12 (Dustin/Kandice and Shana/Jennifer) Girls from Texas: Season 1 (Kim/Leslie) Frat Boys: Season 1 (Kevin/Drew) Hippies: Season 9, 12 (BJ/Tyler and TK/Rachel) African American Couple: Season 1, 5, 7, (Lenny.Karyn, Chip/Kim, Uchenna/Joyce) Mom/Son : Season 7 (Susan/Patrick) What happened to original teams like Kynt.Vxysin and Kate/Pat? |

I would consider the Hippies teams a Kynt/Vyxsin since their "genre" of Hippie-ism isn't the same as ZZZChel/TK and TTOWmorons...

Late to post this but I've seen two people with two huge bags walking round asking for directions yesterday round 11am, idk if this is TARA3 or TAR13's spoiler since TAR rarely comes to Singapore |

We're going to Bolivia! (thanks RFF)
- presumably after the legs in Brazil. Also, the U-Turn is sticking around.

The Bolivian leg for TAR13 will be in La Paz. After the first two legs in Brazil.

I hate it when they spend 3-4 legs in South America like in TAR 9 and All-Stars. So I assume it's safe to say that they'll be hitting 6 continents
then?

Our final destination? (courtesy of RFF) Since the race started April 21st, today
would make the 3 week mark, just like last time. I know AT will be happy.
And giant red X at UKK. It should also be noted that although Kevin/Drew were in a fraternity together, there really wasn't much in their actions that would be typical of a frat. A more accurate comparison would be Eric/Jeremy, but ironically enough they didn't go to college AFAIK. kthxu.rly.suck. |

Where For Art Thou, Phil? Amazing Race 13 is filming in Portland!!!May 13th 2008 10:25am
BY: Byron Beck
DASHING FOR DOLLARS: Forget next Tuesday's primary, the real race is already underway. Although officials at the Port of Portland cannot confirm rumors, CBS-TV's The Amazing Race 13 , which pits teams against each other in a race around the world, has touched down in Portland now through Thursday, May 15 . Who knew? Well, as first reported here, it was none other than local mens panties proprietor, Steven Lien, of UnderU4men. According to Lien, who was pushed out of his normal parking garage to make way for the camera crew on Monday morning, the show looks like it's staging right behind Broadway's Benson Hotel . "There are about 20 big vehicles and lots of people in nice shoes and really dark glasses," Lien told WW. Later that day a few production peeps (alas no Phil Keoghan) who came in to his shop looking for fresh underpants confirmed Amazing's PDX presence for Lien. A quick web search also confirms that filming for the TV show is scheduled to take place sometime in May. Let's hope they have better luck getting half and half from our baristas than the following contestant had milking a camel. |

Amazing Race, How Sweet the Sound (in Portland)by Inara VerzemnieksTuesday May 13, 2008, 2:59 PMThere are a number of us around here who happen to be big fans of the whirl-wind travel reality series Amazing Race, where teams of friends, couples, siblings and other family members spend a month racing around the globe, living in airports, battling jet-lag, marriage-encounter worthy breakdowns and waves of culture shock. How big of fans? When we saw this Willamette Week post that The Amazing Race 13 was rumored to be in town filming its finale, well, we freaked out. As if this was the biggest breaking news story ever. And we started dialing everyone we could think of for confirmation. As our editor said (wryly, we might add): "Nice to see democracy is safe today." After several frantic hours of intrepid reporting (but not too much reporting -- we are fans, afterall, and we do not want to find out too much and ruin the finale for ourselves and others), here is what we know (spoilers after the cut): * Someone from Amazing Race contacted one of Travel Portland's PR managers a few months ago, and requested "B-roll footage, which is just our raw video footage of various shots of the city, the skyline," says Deborah Wakefield, VP of Communications and Public Relations. (Motive!) * As one of my colleagues captured in photos on her blog, there are currently several mini-vans and other official looking vehicles bearing the placards "WRP" parked in a lot near SW Park and Oak, encircled in "caution" tape. "World Race Productions" is the name of one of the production companies affiliated with the show. (Opportunity!) Michael Fine, who acts as the film and video liaison for the city, seemed kind of cagey when we spoke to him (although perhaps he did not
understand our questions; this is also very possible).
"I don't know," he said. But then he added, cryptically,"If it was, they would not be telling me." (Conspiracy?!) We also learned some other things that don't really help us break this thing open, but are interesting none-the-less... * Tri-Met spokeswoman Mary Fetsch is a big fan of the show (we figured since the contestants are always hopping trams and trains and buses that public transportation was a good lead to follow...) * We totally suck as reporters compared to these folks, who manage to track the movements of the show AROUND THE WORLD. Some people are speculating that the final destination will be O'Bryant Square (see better reporters than us, above), but the parks bureau, which should know such things, since the square is under their jurisdiction, tells us they have heard nothing. Yet. And now we are going to stop chasing this around, as though we have something to race for too, and get back to work. Our editor is staring at us. UPDATE: OK. It's 5:30 and our editor just let the building. So we can obsess about this again. The phone rings, and it's Steve
Johnson from the Port of Portland (since most of this show revolves around FLYING, the folks at the airport seem good people to check with). "I can't
confirm anything," he says. And so we try an old, evil police-reporting trick on him: "Do you deny it?" (Likely putting us in his sin-book
forever...over a story about the Amazing Race! What possessed us?! Sorry, Steve. Really.) He is calm. "I can't confirm anything," he says again,
as though swatting away a fly.

Excuse me, is there a Canada leg (could be in Vancouver, Edmonton or Halifax???) (if it is a real or rumor) before the final destination?
