CL - I know YOU gave me Ps, I meant on the official chart, though, I was never voted to have had a positive episode! It seems unfathomable! :)

What? That's ridiculous!!! Fine, whatever. Then I vote we just simply do the whole season over again. And by that I mean, we get all twenty players
back and put them on that island and do it over.
Okay, I'm done -and Eliza never ride the L train on the weekends -it sucks! (that's my Williamsburg shout-out) |

If it's any consolation, the only reason "It's a fucking stick!" didn't earn an OTTP is because I almost choked to death from laughing so
hard at it. (Countdown until some punk says that it would have earned an OTTPP if that happened)
Seriously, best quote since "Whoa, cool flying fish" (ten bonus points to Eliza if she knows who said it). |

I felt like all you "edgicians" (OTH I know you like that reference) had my back.A callout from Eliza...woohoo! :-) And thanks for the kind words you gave me a while ago. It was very nice. There was clearly a set up that matched you and Parvati, but when you were booted it wasn't really there. Paid off at the end, per usual. If I get to ask any questions to you in your busy schedule, they'd be - I understand your explanation for why you were targeted at the merge. Why was Jason? Did Alexis/Natalie/Erik not see the need to keep the "fans" alliance going, or was it just unworkable? I'm surprised that we never got much on that. Was he simply hated? Natalie and Alexis could've used him after the Ozzy boot, why not do it? He seemed to be resigned to going at the merge along with you, but he had angels he should have tried, and the others should have seen the smarts in working with him. - You are a P person. But you aren't manipulated, you're you. We work on finding manipulation, like having to appreciate Parvati, for instance. :-) Was there anything presented as close to being further from the truth between reality and the edit? What was something that we were sold that was completely false. And of course, how is my favorite Survivor, Chris? Do you still keep in touch with your cast? Thanks. Michael |

I'd take Eliza's word on Jason and Alexis, they were the two fans Eliza was closest with.
That means 3 votes Cirie, 2 votes Amanda, and Natalie votes for Parv. Erik is trhe question - does he force a tie or become the 4th Cirie vote? We should ask him, he's posting too. That would have been sad for Pavati, the editors would have given her more of a villian edit and Ozzy would get the last laugh. People would think Amanda played better because Parv was 3rd. |

People would think Amanda played better because Parv was 3rd.Sorry, Craig. I can see how well-tended Parvati's edit was but, in reality, despite her edit, she hardly changed at all from her season: she was a one-trick pony. In both seasons, her strategy revolved around using flirting to get aligned with some strong guys, surround herself with 'cool' people (remember the Raro people self-referencing their coolness), drop the guys when the time came, and ride a women's alliance to victory. Yul put a spanner in the works in the Cooks but things worked out here. Parvati would have likely been the first out (if Fairplay hadn't quit) and the third out (if Cirie hadn't jumped). She benefited from Jonathan's and Kathy's departures and from the twist which allowed her to extend her women's alliance and ride it to victory. It's ironic that her version of the women's alliance worked while Ami, the archetypal women's alliance builder fell just short of being in a position to becoming involved. ********** Eliza, I'm not surprised the producers like you. They should be well and truly in your debt given how easily you're able to deliver entertainment gold. I'd be surprised if a 'Advocate Eliza' type of program wasn't already in the works! Not sure if you're able to answer this but do you know what Jason was trying to establish with his jury question to Amanda (Whether she'd tell Ozzy if she knew about the plot against him)? Was he trying to set Amanda up in Ozzy's eyes or was he genuinely trying to establish whether she could place strategy above her personal feelings? |

0.209 Eliza OrlinsI think this warrants P overall. Just because someone didn't get a P for any episode officially doesn't mean they can't be positive overall. The watchdogs just happened to vote mostly neutral/mixed in episodes where several others voted P. |

Jake, her answer was given in the Sucks forum thread: she would DEFO have voted for Cirie.

Sounds like Erik would be a 4th vote for Cirie in a F3. He posted:
I still say Parvati changed and improved her game more than any returning Survivor in history. * She became a more active strategist, rather than letting others (Jenny, Adam, Jonathan) initiate the plans. * She only flirtd with one guy and put all her energy into girlpower. In S13 her downfall was voting off Jenny, which showed her ultimate plan wasn't a women's alliance.

If you say Alexis would have definitely voted Cirie, I'll take your word for it, but even you are admitting any other vote is speculation. Natalie sure seems to have had some strange fascination with Parvati. I don't think there's any way James and Ozzy don't vote for Amanda. And Erik sure seems to have really wanted to vote for Amanda since he did despite his anger at her and her poor jury performance. From an Edgic perspective, we never got any real insight into how the others felt about Cirie, which is why I doubted all along that she'd face the jury. ETA: Craig quotes Erik above as saying he might have voted Cirie, but he's not that definite, and that's certainly easy to say now regardless. |

First, I can vouch for colleenlover that she called the "vote for Parv" WAY back.
Second: [Cirie] is the only one with a family and children who she supports.Would something like that REALLY sway a jury vote? That is really unfortunate, I think--votes should always be game-based and not "demographics-based" on something completely outside the game. Of course we know that Lill bumped Fairplay on her perception of how he'd spend the money vs. Sandra, but if they really want "Deserving" people to win, why don't they just go to a homeless shelter to cast the season? I adore Cirie, but if she had played the "I'm a mom" card, I would despise her--she's better than that. |

Francois40 wrote: I have to agree with you, Francois. At first I was, "Yeah, I guess it's true," but for Cirie to have made ANY issue about having kids would
have been immaterial. Even with the edit as given, however, Cirie still came across as a terrific strategist who seemed to be the directing mind, thinking of
all the eventualities and giving directions to each member of the alliance. The Ozzy blindside and the Erik coup are two where we saw Cirie heavily involved in
the late going, and the fact that her say-so got Yau booted is another instance. Plus, she helped organize people to boot Joel (I think it was) when he was all
"weak people, booted, now."

I'd bet on Cirie on Survivor: The 3rd Time's the Charm. Or maybe if I'm feeling chance-y, Lillian. Fuck, what the hell am I going to do for the off-season? zesty, throw another game! Past votes my ass ...

I think that up against Parvati, the "I have kids" idea would definitely help Cirie out, given that the two of them played very similar games.

Was anyone else on Survivor Sucks back in Borneo? Before EZ Board, back when Stacey (recoveringsurvivor) was posting and before that?
Wow I feel old. |
