Worth watching, sure, but the production values SUCK compared to the US versions. Nonexistent suspense at TC, no "suspense music" in the scenes, etc.
UK Season 2 seems to go fast because there are only 12 contestants at the beginning.
OTOH, they don't blur things out, and let a lot more "racy" language through--certainly some interesting game moments as well. I just would've loved to see them as done by MB. |

also to see why Uzma got voted out so early. Seriously, he name is Uzma. I would keep her around a while just for that. |

the first one didn't go over too well here thus the second was scaled back. Both are quite slow especially when compared to the U.S versions. Though the
prize money of one million pounds (approx 1.9 million U.S dollars ) tax free kinda makes the U.S prize pale in comparison

Season 2 was ok, but they spend no money making it visually interesting, and the host is boring.
Survivor South Africa was more entertaining. The Brits seem to like "Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands" more than "Survivor" I Have been watching Shipwrecked, and it is a weird show, There was a whole three week blow up on the show because one of the contestants actually had a strategy. |

The quality sucks...especially compared to our US versions and it's nowhere near as good...the storylines aren't as clear or interesting and the
challenges BLOW in comparison...they do seem to suffer and get hurt a little more though...maybe a plus, but still not worth watching unless you're
desperate in my opinion...

The South African Survivor was pretty good. The production values sucked (tribal council was seriously the most poorly produced thing ever) and they had some
odd twists towards the end, but the players were pretty good. The wrong person of the final 2 won which knocks it down a peg, but it could've been worse.

The first one was entertaining at times, didn't watch the second.
The editing really is strange/shitty though, totally different than the American version. Two of them banged on the island and they didn't show it or mention it AT ALL. (and one of them was married) Over here MB woulda been all over that shit. |
