Because, if we keep talking about politics a fight will inevitably break out and this thing will never get back on topic. Politics is important (and as a poli
sci major, I love the topic), but I think we should keep it Survivor-related.

but I think we should keep it Survivor-related. It's not an essential pre-requisite that we should fight. It's Survivor-related to the extent that I'm interested in how the game decisions of a politically savvy soon-to-be-lawyer might be informed by her political awareness compared to, say, Amanda's game decisions. It's probably no coincidence that Amanda was not able to correctly pick the capital of the country she was in from a list of four options in one of the challenges in China. I suspect we might get more clues about what it takes to play Survivor from quizzing Eliza about her political views than quizzing her about her sexual preferences or her luxury items. |

Eliza: "Name 3 candidates in the upcoming presidential election." If one of the finalsists had nailed it and Eliza voted for them, the question might have been shown. Anyone recall Dave Johnson's question in Amazon about what world leader would they compare their gameplay too? Matt said Colin Powell and came off as a pretensious BSer, in the eyes of the jury, while Jenna referencing her Mom won her more points. Eliza, did you ever get friendly enough with Parv out there to ask her about growing up on a commune? She must have been brought up to be socially aware, even if she isn't into electoral politics or partly rebelled against her parent's values. |

I re-added the Eliza Orlins article on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eliza_Orlins
It will likely be deleted quickly because wiki-admins are obsessive compulsive deleters these days, so if there's a message that says "this article is marked for deletion" when you get there, please stop by the talk page and add a vote to keep it.

Whoops! Thanks for catching that. Fixed now. I'm amazed nobody has listed it for deletion yet. Usually it would take less than 5 minutes.

I just checked, and it looks like all the Faves have their own page but none of the Fans (though I didn't check every link from the Wkipedia Micronesia
page).

Eliza, you already know how I feel about you, but I just need to say my favorite moment of your on Survivor is the look you and Chris gave each other when you
got voted out in Vanuatu.
Everytime I think about it, it brings a smile to my face. It is my most favorite televised akward moment ever!! Also, how good are you on libel laws? I'm planning on writing an autobiography and I might need you if it gets published. |

Seriously, though, I doubt that Eliza's political opinions can be summed up in the one sentence you've kindly attributed to her. I'd rather her being the judge of what she might want to contribute, if it's not too much to ask..She has already said before that she is not "getting into" politics on this thread. And, most of the rest of us do not want to see Sucks turned into a political thread which, no matter in WHAT forum, will always, ALWAYS turn into a flamewar. |
