Just because she likes that kind of music doesn't mean she wants to sing it..Carrie has always stated that Country is where her heart is and you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes so quit trying to say that she does everything she's told...

Taylor is the Hannah Montana of Country. That's why she's so popular right now. And like most who appeal to that market, she'll fade quickly like the rest of 'em, as her fanbase grows up. But I like her, she's a cutie. And her songs are teenie bop cute too. She offsets the imperfect vocals with her gorgeous looks and the fact she writes these cute songs.

Both Carrie and Kelly are too old to do that anymore. Its comparing apples and oranges.

I do agree that Taylor appeals to young fans but I disagree that she'll quickly fade. Unlike Miley, Taylor will continue to mature and as she matures her writing will reflect that and her songs will progress into songs that will be related to her fans as they mature and grow along with her. I was a fan of Taylor's music before I introduced it to my daughter so Taylor appeals to not just teens/tweens. I doubt she's selling almost 25K a week to teenyboppers. LeAnn Rimes started as a 13 year old with Blue and look at her...still a huge country star!

I think the mistake that most Carrie fans make is that they assume that Carrie has found the magic formula for long lasting success but the truth is there is no such thing. Carrie's schtick is getting stale already.. .she didn't even make it 5 years before her sales started to show weakness. Carrie's sales for her first album can be largely attributed to Idol and BHC crossing over as evidenced by CR's sales.... she promoted on Idol once this album cycle and she's not scored a pop cross over... no one can deny that those two factors are the key missing ingredients for this album.... which means without Idol Carrie can't sustain her sales and without Pop Carrie is just like any other mediocre blonde country artist.
