If you want to freak out about something, freak out about the possibility of them not airing the rest of the season, not the bad timeslot. Those ratings are abysmal, especially for ABC.

It's because the premise of the show makes no sense. One person, unknown to the rest, is the Mole and it's that person's task to keep everyone else from winning money by sabotaging that episode's mission. So if I'm not the Mole, my best strategy is to make everyone think I am so they'll guess wrong and go home before me. So now I'll do what the Mole is supposed to be doing, and purposefully blow the missions. After all, it's better to be the last contestant standing, even if the payoff is poor. Plus, I also screw the Mole because the Mole can't take credit for a mission not being accomplished. Which means all the smart people will try to tank every mission in order to get all the rest to think they're the Mole. So you have everyone pretending to be the Mole which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the game. Not necessarily. The smarter players throw deflection onto other players, or develop shell coalitions to lure them into a false sense of security.

The type of advertisment Survivor has or Big Brother is how those shows still run well, lots of ads about them and stuff like that.

Season One averaged about 12.9m, The Next Betrayal was about 6.9m, Celebrity Hawaii averaged 11.0m, and Celebrity Yucatan clocked in with around 8.7m average viewers. Right now, we're looking at less than 4m. Certainly, it's a different time, ratings are down across the board and expectations have been lowered since 2004. However, I believe this season is the lowest-rated original summer series on the big 4 networks right now. It should also be doing better in the 18-49 and 18-34 demos; those are made the show last four seasons originally.

If the other ratings on past seasons of the show were not the best, why would they totally cancel the series after this one? They already canceled the show during said past seasons. Twice. In the same season.

But that could be on account of the great episode last week. The way this week's show was, we might be worried again next week! But there was a ton of commercials last night! Unless they were giving the time slots away or BOGO, I can't see them canceling this show!

So that would just be a copy of someones small part of creativity. (Does that make sense?) But I did take a peak at the Japanese Game show thing. I can't help it. They look familiar and I felt comfortable. Funny how I never bothered to watch those back home.
