Why not just put up a notice on the FRC website?
Something's seriously fishy.

So they're limiting the contestant pool to mactors, and not only mactors, but those that already have agents?
Why not just put up a notice on the FRC website? Something's seriously fishy. |

So I see we got more people posting. Somebody call me when Pamela and/or Deena post.
But rereading this thread, I've noticed a few things: 1. Looks like Phu was posting earlier. Like before the show even started. I wonder how long he was doing that before FRC stepped in and told him to knock it off like CBS does with the Survivors. 2. I forgot all about the Revolutionary War being won by the Spice Girls. Good times, good times. 3. I also forgot about the awesomeness that was JP's blowup doll. Good times, good times. AKANumber7 wrote: No, I'm happy to see that a series has had two minority winners in a row. I can't think of any other show to have a remotely close track record.
However, for Solitary 3, I humbly request a female asian breakdancer. Or a contortionist. I'm fine with that. Bonus points if she looks like Nicole Bilderback.

I guess it's official... VAL's going to be observing more guests. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/tfr/724489659.html Anyone up to the challenge?

#7 is back!
shy, quiet, nerdy stereotypeUh, rewatch the Cooks. That would be Becky, who was effectively to Yul what Rob was to Amber in Survivor Allstars. So what's the scoop? Why are the Solitary producers pushing casting on this breakdown agent-only service? Meanwhile, how are you? Still annoying your wife & baby #7's with your purported breakdancing talent? |

BECKY will always be remembered as the Survivor who needed matches to start her fire challenge!
What's really funny is no one thinks about SUNDRA who LOST that challenge as being more inept. I am well, but extremely busy, especially since I was Senior Sponsor and had to help Class of '08 all year. Yay, they graduated yesterday! And yes, I have been breakdancing for them, the Seniors all year. They thought I was going to dance on stage at graduation, but I threw them a curveball when I sang "It's so Hard to Say Goodbye," BTW, I actually have three kids. As for your "producer"question. I haven't talked to Lincoln or Andrew since my Reality Remix taping 9 months ago or so. You might not have known, but S2 had quite a few people who had some on camera experience or interest. They included Leroy, Deena, Michelle, Tyler, Kimberely, Nikki(radio personality counts right?) and obviously JP. I sure that some/most of those mentioned really did want the challenge and weren't recruited ala Survivor, but I am confused as to why FRC is not promoting the auditions on their own website. It could be a website admin laziness. Lastly, Craiglist is pretty public and good way of finding people willing to take a chance, right? To make a short answer long... IDK. I deal in speculation only... at this point. |

#7 it is impossible for me to lurve a reality contestant as much as I lurve you!
Quick question: are you saying that in 2.0 they casted actors? This is because we got word that the 3.0 casting call was being pushed through a casting agent's only proprietary service. Meanwhile, have you gotten an answer as to why they changed Val's voice from the one we heard in your season to the humanistic 2.0 voice? And when will you be free to disclose what voice you actually heard in the pods? ~ P'ha |

I am NOT saying they are actors, but if you do some research you will find the connections/conclusions that I piece together. I think anyone who goes on a
reality show obviously wants to be on TV. I think it is hard to use it as a springboard to an acting career. Plus, Solitary is not for the faint of heart. You
need to go in wanting to prove something. Most actor-types would pass on even auditioning once they find out what it is about.
To me, a mactor is someone who is actively and seriously pursuing an acting career. Maybe, I am hypocritical, 'cuz I was in a British commercial, and LINGO before I was in/on Solitary. I just know that I am a full time teacher and would relish the chance to do more reality game/gameshows, but the only acting I do is in class. Of course, if I someone's willing to pay me to be on in a commercial... I'm there. Admittedly, I have done background stuff by myself and with my family, but it's like Asian/local media for practically pocket change. For us, it's just fun and something to have as a memory. We have no delusions of grandeur. I think the casting call started there, but it's broadening. Unfortunately, FRC and Solitary is not popular to do open casting calls where people line-up for auditions. I think negative feedback of the original voice and the desire to make it more palatable to a wider audience was the reasoning. Honestly, I don't have a directline OR tried to be so direct as to truly get into the whole beast that is Solitary. Plus if I did, it's not like I would reveal anything that is deemed "trade secrets" which may answer your other question. I know I signed a confidentiality contract, but I don't recall it's specific terms and time limitation. Considering what Will said, I might need to be more tight lipped if I hope to be invited to All-Star Solitary if there's ever such a thing. For Will... Becky the lawyer, I think, who was the in the top 3 and did not receive even one jury vote on the finale! Latin team screwed up by breaking the cardinal rule of giving up one of your own/losing your numbers. Ironically, was it not Cai Boi who even said, "Us Asians should stick together", yet he felt like the outsider anyway. Lastly, about the chance of getting on Survivor... I guess I have at least TWO strikes against me... I've already won a reality show AND I can be traced in this fourm. DARN. DARN. DARN. I wonder if I have a chance to get on The Mole, haven't really watch it much(too busy), but sounds like a fun show. |

Becky the lawyer, I think, who was the in the top 3 and did not receive even one jury vote on the finale! Who? Latin team screwed up by breaking the cardinal rule of giving up one of your own/losing your numbers. The Latin team screwed up by having Ozzy as their leader since he had no fucking idea what he was doing (neither did the rest of them) and they gambled that they had figured out the game format even though this game had already changed the format twice in that one season already. |

So basically, I expressed some interest about being on the next season. And low and behold they sent me an application. Being it's
just a application, I doubt it means all that much, but it's not on the website or anything so I guess I should be somewhat flattered?
Anyways, my hopes and dreams are dashed anyways cause I don't have a video camera so sending in a video along with it is impossible. So many %+%#*. Steven what are the chances i'd have any chance without a audition video and just a application? |

I do recall that the auditions were supposed to take place over a month, ending in late July. So if you want to get in, get in! I assume that they go to agents
first because they have lots of connections with people (and let's face it, William Morris won't be submitting, but there are all sorts of tiny no
connection agencies that would be grateful if their clients got any work at all.)

I would absolutely love it if Louie got on this show. I just got FRC not too long ago, and just caught the last half of 2.0. This show needs to have more
seasons!

Yay! A new Solitary viewer joins us! Try to download season 1 -- you'll love it.
Louie, send out a blast email to everyone you know asking if they've a video camera you could borrow. There's no way they'd consider you without a tape. It would be SO cool to get you into the pods. I really miss Solitary! |

Louie77,
I agree with P'ha. You need to get a videocam or something. Outside having an amazing app and an outstanding picture to send, your vid is what seals the deal! With Solitary... you need to be pretty interesting on camera, by yourself, with little to do, so your camera presence/personality is essential! If they are interested, they'll call you in for on-camera audition. Keep us updated! Worst thing is you'll be left off the "really weird" auditioners segment... or is that worst of all!?! For all you who desire to be on a reality TV show, I read this interesting article on MSN about a class on how to get on a show. http://tv.msn.com/tv/reality-tv-school/ I guess if budget cuts in California somehow kill my teaching career, I can always hold classes and make some money that way, huh? |

My son auditioned for this a few days ago. He said the gal he auditioned for said that he was the quirkiest person she had ever met and seemed to really like
him. They are going to set the final cast in about a month. He is just starting an acting career and I'm not sure this is a step in the right direction
for him.
