Do you consider adoption to be the same as having a biological child? Are the emotions the same, despite not having carried the child? Is it as satisfying to have a kid if your DNA isn't part of the mix and 'living on forever' through your child?
There were a lot of cold stares at the gathering after this discussion.
I know two couples who have adopted, from birth, and they both agreed that their child they adopted was meant to be theirs... destiny. They note that there is a unique bond unlike with their natural kids... it's almost undescribeable they say. Both couples love their kids unconditionally and always will.
