The show's not too bad, but I don't know if it's Broadway-worthy. It's got a huge following though, thanks to MTV. When I went to watch it last
month, I was surrounded by tweens and airheads who used like every other syllable. I almost killed myself, but it was worth it just to see Orfeh and Kate
Shindle <3 And the UPS guy was fucking hot <333 Laura Bell Bundy was sick though

Oh no, LBB was still on if that's what you mean. She was sick but she was on anyway. Painful, painful, painful. I felt sorry for the girl. But then again,
I heard her understudy on youtube, and she pretty much sucks too. It was a lose-lose situation.

Wyndham. She was on one episode of this show. How the hell did get a co-starring role on Broadway??? Who is she sleeping with?! I know LBB already rumored to
be sleeping with Christian Borle (Sutton Foster's HUSBAND). OMG YOUGUYS!

Oh and that other bitch sucked too, the one who played Brooke Wyndham. Word. Her voice was nasally and whiny. Although I have to give her some points for improv cause during the Whipped into Shape scene, one of the girls' rope broke so she had to run off stage when she was supposed to say a line, so Brooke ad-libbed and said something hilarious. I miss the one on original cast/MTV whose voice was awesome. Oh and Margot, the blonde sorority girl SUCKED. Big time. Her first line "I got t.ears coming out of my nose" got ZERO laughs. She's related to someone in the crew, so figures. And Christian Borle was so cute and awesome <3 When Elle gives him a makeover and he steps out of the changing room, every girl and gay guys in the audience went "damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" Edited: Damn you fanofcoils. Fuck you to hell |

You can hear a snippit of the winner's single on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Much-Better-MTV-Winner-Single/dp/B001CET7ZM/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1216138459&sr=8-17 To me it sounds definately like Bailey. I could see the arguement that it may be Autumn, but definately not Rhiannon ETA: Just found a cute picture of Bailey
God she looks so much like Elle right there.

You bitches don't know what you're talking about. Rhiannon is the biggest star there. Perhaps a Broadway musical isn't the best place for her, but
Judd Apatow or somebody like that should snap her up and use her in all his movies. She is so funny and so likeable and so watchable. At the end of the day,
being memorable and having that kind of charisma is way more important than the actual talent level.

yeah exactly they are casting a broadway star!!!!! they cant technically teach her how to sing. lauren could have grew into the part. they could have matured
her. rihannion is deff fun to watch but not the greatest voice. lauren had the voice and the dancing down. she was always spot on.

But "star" is the opposite word, there. Some of Broadway's biggest stars have not been great singers. Look at Gwen Verdon. Look at Elaine Stritch. Hell, look at Carol Channing! Even Ethel Merman didn't have a "nice" voice (though her power was undeniable). Especially when the material is as lame as this show appears to be, you need somebody who is special enough to distract you from it. The worst thing you can do is cast somebody who does a strong, serviceable version, but thereby shows off all of the deficiencies of the show.

Drew, while I'll agree that Rhiannon is more of a "star" than Bailey or Autumn, she doesn't have a very good voice. Yes, you can get by in a
show like "Cabaret" where the lead isn't expecting to belt out big numbers 8 times a week. But this show is an energetic show with big power
singing, and she just isn't capable of that. She's better off in the chorus of this show, or Penny in "Hairspray" type roles.
The Carol Channing & Elaine Stritch comparisons are a bit dated. That type of acceptable "singing" is from days gone by---that kind of thing doesn't really fly anymore in a theatre world of shows like "Rent" & "Wicked". Maybe if she (Rhiannon) was starring in a brand new musical that didn't have anything to compare it to, then she could possibly star in it but this isn't it. I wish she could sing because I really think she's got something special too. |

lol @ this final 3
They stuck two losers with the chosen one so they could justify her predetermined victory. It's truly the least exciting finale in the history of reality tv. <3 This show was truly terrible in retrospect. The concept itself was retarded and the musical is obviously a piece of shit, but I was willing to look beyond that in hopes of some good drama. There wasn't any. Even the Cassie stuff was pretty lame. And then they don't even show all of the performances so the show couldn't even live off of that. The worst thing about it was how they'd talk about THE SPIRIT OF ELLE every week. YOU JUST DON'T EPITOMIZE THE MAJESTY AND COMPLEXITY OF ELLE!!!1!!!!1!! |

Agreed. However, I'd also say that's why Broadway doesn't really create "stars" anymore. They cast very talented but somewhat anonymous people and they may work in the role, but don't "pop" beyond it. Kristen Chenoweth, I guess, would be a notable exception of somebody who has a VERY distinct persona who was elevated to stardom on Broadway. While many, many people in the general public (not just stalwart Broadway fans) would be able to identify Kristen, how many do you think could identify Idina (out of makeup)? Or Kerry Butler? Or Sutton Foster? Or Laura Benanti? Or, for that matter, Laura Bell Bundy? |

What I was hoping to find through this process was more than just a person to star in this shitty ass show. I thought maybe we'd get a true "find"...a real Broadway triple threat who could actually become a huge star in the world of musical theatre. I know that's asking for a bit much, but with the tens of thousands of talented triple threats out there, this is what we have? |

Um, the movie was funny because she was a vapid shallow dingbat. <3X I cannot stand how they keep talking about how (insertnamehere) doesn't have the emotional depth to play Elle. It's like HELLO, she's a fucking shallow and superficial <3. I know that's asking for a bit much, but with the tens of thousands of talented triple threats out there, this is what we haveWell remember, they eliminated like 20 girls just based on a 30 second impression of their dancing skills. A star or triple threat could easily have been past by. |
