They act like it's half-and-half between food and hosting. It's more like 20% food / 80% hosting. Therefore, Lisa ain't going to win and Adam
probably will (although if Aaron does more like he did on Rach's show, he may have a chance...

I was actually thinking that those would be reasons as to why Aaron won't win. The Neelys and Sunny Anderson (who has her own FOOD NETWORK cooking show) and hosts HOW DID THAT GET ON MY PLATE aren't the least bit shy in front of that camera. (In fact, the Neelys could afford to tone it way the fuck down). |

If what I'm thinking is correct (that all 3 will face the public vote) I think Aaron is going to win. GarzaBot definitely deserves it though, (and she
earned major points in my book for reminding Aaron to make the chicken parm). And Adam, he's just an untalented hack who's only still there by sucking
Bob Tuschman's cock.

Garzabot is probably a sweetheart of a person, but her hair and her squinty eyes bother me. Well, that and the fact that she hasn't really shown what
sort of personality she'd present on a tv show. Kudos to her for both the "best cassoulet ever in the entire universe" and for helping out
Aaron. It sorta looked like she stepped up close to his work table and caught his attention on purpose and that was pretty cool. Her mac 'n cheese
sounded absolutely gross.

How the hell could Aaron just FORGET one of his two dishes, anyway? That was the most absurd thing ever! Wouldn't he be planning from the outset how to
budget his time?

I was kind of taken aback that they scolded Lisa during the throwdown: every show has the menu broken down & pre-cooked to various stages, so you're
not going to be as serious looking when you're hosting.
As for Aaron, I'm leaning towards him because I think they can design a show around him cooking with kids -- he did fabo on RR w/ the Brownie, and he said it took him back home to cooking with his own children.... That would be a great show to have on (plus one more black man can't hurt the averages). Adam might rock a show like 'A Man/A Can/A Plan' type thing, but teach guys how to cook really good food from scratch to get girls. Lisa.. I love her but she's toast. Esp after the preview of the lambchops... |

Kelsey was annoying as hell, but she cooked better than Adam (no slouch in the annoyance department) and engaged the camera at least as well. That guy
hasn't done anything well, ever, since the show started unless you count that Mac & Cheese (no great breakthrough). Aaron seems like a very good cook
but a very poor chef, capable but uninventive. The fact that he's cooking with chipotles but (amazingly) doesn't know what they are tells you he's
cooking with other people's recipes, not his own. Lisa's hands-down the best cook, but her on-air personality seems brittle and high-strung (culinary
point-of-view: hysterical). After the Amy debacle, is that really what they're looking for?

Aaron's food looked yummy.

Since the Coast Guard challenge, I haven't seen anything too annoying from Adam. He learned his lesson. I think his personality is a lot like Bobby Flay's. His seems to be the kind of persona that goes over really, really well on this network. |

And since the judges kept harping on him about his food not being so great, he focused on the food, blowing Dana Devon off intentionally. He pointed out that
they'd already seen him be engaging on camera, so they really couldn't hold it against him.

Well, I wouldn't say he blew her off intentionally. It was more like he wasn't able to do both so he concentrated on the cooking. If he could have
paid attention to her and still prepared his meal I'm sure he would have. I'm still trying to figure out what "real world experience"
he's got that Kelsey lacks. Failed restaurant? Being a waiter? I'm definitely not advocating for Kelsey (one Rachel Ray is plenty), but not only do
I not understand why Adam's still in the competition, I don't know why they picked him in the first place unless they envision him stumbling through
the kitchen with his Everyman appeal.

He said he blew her off.
Anyhow, Lisa's Romulan or Vulcan, right? |

It doesn't matter who wins this competition, because their show is going to be bad anyway. When this program first started, the competitions were
television related. How do you handle a cooking segment when there are technical problems, doing a satellite interview, writing and producing a pilot show,
etc. This is how the network got their competitors used to working in television, rather than being on television. Now, all the competitions are reality show
bits, and very little on how to be a successful television star. Dan and Steve's show was dull, but they learned how to do a TV show, and it lasted for
quite a while. Once Guy learned how to convert his personality to television, he became a star. Amy was not shown that during her season, when the format
changed, and her show suffered. She quit after only 6 episodes because it was too stressful. I'm not seeing it this season either. I predict that, no
matter who wins this year, their show lasts only one season.

I'd love Lisa to win, but fear Adam will.
BTW, anybody know what happened to that awful, pretentious "Gourmet Next Door" show of Amy's? I saw it on, although never watched it once, but haven't seen anything about it in months. I'm guessing that tanked big time--like I knew it would. |

I didn't realize Lisa was from Dallas until I checked out her restaurant.
