Brooke Gordon - Jeff Gordons first wife. She got a hefty settlement in the divorce.

I missed everyone and both races last night - I was having a sleep study done. Yes, a sleep study on Saturday night. My hospital does them 7 days a week. They do it on the 15th floor of a hotel kiddy corner from the hospital. Niiice. Of course, they kick you out by 7:30 the next morning... not so nice. I didn't know there were such things as lake bugs!

Oh, Brooke aka Brookie Bitch aka Barbie? Yeah, she deserved a settlement alright because I heard Jeffy shagged some woman working at the Neiman Marcus perfume counter while they were married. OTOH, she not only is a bitch, but I'm convinced she's a gold digger -- I heard a few explanations of what she was doing before she met Jeff (student, working in family insurance business, model for Diet Pepsi -- she was a sorority girl in college and we know she was Miss Winston when she and Jeffy met); and after the divorce, she took up with some stockbroker. Supposedly when they were married, she wanted kids and he didn't yet... then he knocked up Ingrid before they got married... methinks Jeff had a clue as to what kids might have meant to Brooke? (leverage? way to get even more $? bragging rights such as "Jeff Gordon is the father of MY KIDS!" These are MY GUESSES ONLY.) I also have two friends (one a JG fan, the other a JG hater) who met them both. The hater hated them both. The fan said Jeff was nice but Brooke was cold and not nice at all. Take that for what it's worth.

DT, I find out in five to seven days, according to the sleep technician! P.R.A.Y. that I don't have to spend muchos bucks on a CPAP machine.

Why would they even race when there's a partial power failure? Seems like a good way to have plenty of crashes due to poor lighting.

You have sleep apnea?

I don't know. All I know is I can't fall asleep at night (although I'm on meds that help me with that); I often wake up during the night; it's very hard to drag myself out of bed in the morning (and with the new meds, I'm usually sleeping through the alarm or turning it off in that just un-asleep condition to do stuff I shouldn't, like turn off alarm clocks); and almost every day at work, no matter how hard I try to stay awake and no matter how much caffeine I gulp down, I fall asleep at least once. (Give up caffeine after noon? And be that much more prone to crashing after lunch? Never!) I also was told by a couple of people that I snore loudly, although most people who have slept in the same room as I say I don't. I'm also almost constantly tired. Plus my sister has it. So I'm suspecting I also might have it.

Maybe I should count crashing, burning GayJay cars as I fall asleep.
