the drivers were bitching all day yesterday. picture Jr. going out and hunting for a news crew to show his tires to. I laughed my ass off at that image. "dude, come look at my tires after 7 laps." he broke the story as far as I'm concerned. they were talking about the track having this diamond grade finish and really grinding the tires. sooooooooooo, it ends up goodyear didn't allow anyone to test, didn't take into account the extra weight of the COT - on it's FIRST run here, and counted on the drivers to lay rubber down during practice. WELL. that didn't fucking happen. the drivers refusted to practice. the "rubber" was described as fine ground coffee. it didn't fucking stick - instead sticking in the breaks (causing a fire in gayjays brakes) and rolling up in little balls and sticking to the headers. goodyear has admitted they knew they had a problem before they even got to Indiana. still, right now, they are complaining about that powder blowing off on the side of the track. we have competion cautions the entire fucking race because they shouldn't be out on them to begin with. is this the only way they can deal with the toyotas - shitty tires? fuckers. |

oooOOOooo, I posted at speed boards for years, it was great. A bunch of pit crew and nascar officials posted there. Lots of intelligent convo and questions
answered. then......it happened
Then after Dale died and NASCAR blew up all these fantards and flamers, who usually stick to driver specific boards, started ruining the place, all the good people left, it has to be micro-moderated now, and it sucks. |
