THE POINT IS THAT THE EMBRYO IS GOING TO TURN INTO A HUMAN AND BEFORE IT EVEN GETS THE CHANCE IT IS KILLED BY PRO-ABORTIONERS!So, an embryo should be considered a human "life" because it has the potential of becoming a human being? If that's the case, did my girlfriend commit mass murder last night when she swallowed countless sperm which also had the potential of becoming human beings? |

Many people believe that a colleciton of cells = human "life" because it has the potential to become a human being. This same arguement could be used for sperm or egg prior to conception. I'm no medical or science expert and I'm actually still a little on the fence when it comes to the abortion debate, I'm just sayin'............ |

"life" and worthy of all rights and protections we give fully developed human beings?

A sperm/egg blastocyst has potential to become a human being if it remains in the environment of the human womb. Both things need certain conditions to be met in order to result in a human being. Both have potential. Just playin' devil's advocate, but it's true. How can an fetus be a homicide victim if it isn't a life?That points to the question at the crux of the matter. At what point do you call something "life" and why? A fetus 5 minutes before birth and a baby 5 minutes after are quite similar. Is the act of birth the determining factor? If so, why then and not earlier? Obviously our society has not yet made a concrete decision on this subject, evidenced by the fact that abortions are legal but someone can be charged with homicide if they attack a pregant woman and kill the unborn child. um, cp? hammy's talking to yaThank you for pointing that out.
