Wasn't Pennington the starter last year? Why would he be cut rather than some 3rd stringer? Or am I mistaken?
ETA: Will adding Favre make the Jets competitive with the Patriots, or is Favre joining an already majorly sucking team and making it suck even more with his interceptions? |

Penny was fighting with Miss Chleo right? Favre, according to Sean Smith, makes the Jets a WC team outright.

What's to stop the Jets from trading Favre to the Vikings?

i feel like theres a rule that you cant trade someone until 10 days after you acquire them but i am totally making that up so yeah
and pennington will be cut because favre is going to be making $15 million dollars and the jets will not be able to afford a 6 million dollar backup QB |

Seahawketti wrote: Pennington's problem is he is soft as fuck and has a weak arm, his biggest advantage is he is a smart quarterback who never makes mistakes. Basically
he's the antithesis of Bret, he was the starter last year and he played well enough but he's on his last legs. Also they have 3 young quarterbacks on
the roster, this was suppossed to be Kellen Clemons(Oregon) year to start but you also have Ratliff who they just drafted in 2007 and Ainge who they picked up
in the 5th round this year.

Well, here's an answer to one of my questions:
Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that, if the Jets were to trade Favre to the Vikings, the Jets would owe the Packers three first-round picks. |

OK I have to say this whole thing is about the funniest fucking thing ever. I love that after Brett had finally given up hope of playing for the Vikings or
Bears (why he wanted to play in Chicago I STILL have no idea) and OK'd the trade to Tampa Bay that Green Bay turned around and traded him to the Jets
instead just to twist in that knife even more. Also hilarious that the ESPN guy is explaining that apparently Brett was wary of going to New York because
he's a country boy but then when it was explained to Brett the Jets actually play in New Jersey that somehow made it OK.
Here's hoping now Aaron Rodgers gets injured and/or Chad Pennington quarterbacks the Vikings to the Super Bowl. Just to make this whole thing perfect. |

Looking at who the Jets play this year they could lose both games to the Pats and still win the Division with 12/13 winsRight...and which 5 teams are the Patriots going to lose to? |
