If you ask me, though, when it comes to my penis, I don't want any of that shit happening AT ALL, so I'll take the reduction of the chance of getting some rare deal on it. I'm expecting my boys to feel the same way.

We gots HIV here to though too. I guess it's a matter of percentages. You also get less penis cancer, less balanitis, less urithritis, etc., but the
incidences of those are also small percentages, so you weigh the risks.

That's fair - and as a non-penis bearer, I can't say for sure how I would personally feel about being circumsized.

Again I ask, why is it considered NORMAL for chix to get vaginoplasty to clean that shit up, but somehow it is MUTILATION to clean a wenis up? And trust me, NO
ONE remembers the alleged pain. Being newborn is inherently traumatic and someone grabbing your cock and snipping at it is hardly going to be noticeable.

Who the hell considers that normal? |

The difference is that the kid doesn't have a choice. I don't care what men or women do with their genitals; whether circumcision, piercing, or
whatever. Why not let your child make the decision for himself.
Emphasizing proper condom use for your kid is a hell of a lot more effective against Aids or infection than circumcision. I assume the only real reason why Aids is more prevalent among the uncircumcised is that the penis is less "callused", and that the foreskin is fairly tender, resulting in more micro abrasions. Condoms remove this concern. Also, with proper hygiene the risk of nonsexual infection should be very low. If the kid grows up and decides that these relatively minor concerns are enough to warrant circumcision, then I don't have any problem with that. I think it's stupid, but I think a lot of things people do to their body are stupid, so to each their own. |

The bawling brat didnt have a CHOICE to be fucking borne! Adding incrementally to that by snipping some nasty shit off his wenis is hardly worth getting worked
up about. If they could do cosmetic surgery at birth, who in their right mind wouldnt do so?

Exactly.
I think they should implant all chicks with fake breastesses at birth. |

Circumcism later in life is more traumatic, and also shown to not provide the same reduction in penis cancer benefit. Plus there's that having to wash it
thing, kids would have to learn. My eyes tear up at the thought of my baby boys suffering through a bout of balanitis.
I think the HIV thing is that there's more folds for the virus to fester in, so a greater risk of catching it. But, yes, condoms. No one's saying "Get circumcized and you won't get AIDS". |

I really don't get the cleaning issue at all. Assuming at an early age you teach your children to clean the their genitalia and rectum area, it's
really not that big of a deal to retract the foreskin and clean that too. My son will be 18 this month, and never had an issue with his foreskin at all.
And you're right...it's been shown to reduce the cases of AIDs in Africa when men are circumcised, but the only way to prevent it is to protect yourself....foreskin or not. |

Well, she would certainly know if he had infections as a child or teenager, since she would have had to take him to the doctor.

WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT INFEXTIONS?? My point is no one on this planet cosmetically prefers uncut to cut. NO ONE. Should we leave the umbilical cord attached
too? Is cutting the chord "MUTILATION"? REDICKULOUS!

Reginald Lewis wrote: Really? How do you know that? When I see a circumcised penis, all I can think is, "Oh, the poor thing got the end chopped off." People (babies especially) are beautiful the way nature designed them. And the umbilical cord will ultimately separate from both mother and child naturally. 1. Afterbirth 2. Umbilical cord dries up and falls off We just cut the cord so the baby doesn't have to cuddle up with its placenta anymore. P.S. LOL at "redickulous". |

The HIV thing is actually proven. Pretty sure its not because there's "more folds to fester in"

Going through the pregnancy was filled with several ethical issues that fall into similar conundrums. One example was that we were told we had to have an
amniotic test done to test for down syndrome (we skipped it). The test carries a risk of accidentally aborting the baby...all so we can see if we want to abort
the baby?
How do you feel about the moral equivalence between circumcision and involuntary accidental mutilations causing death? Needless and more commonplace than circumcision. |

Neonatal circumcision confers some protection from penile cancer; however, circumcision at a later age does not seem to confer the same level of protection. There is at least a threefold increased risk of penile cancer in uncircumcised men; phimosis, a condition that exists only in uncircumcised men, increases this risk further. And I'll admit Pediatricians aren't exactly unbiased on this topic. And they admit it might just go back to the hygeine issue. |
