What impresses me about Scott Eyre is his WHIP over the last few years.

Hes one of those guys that Lou would use like once every 2 weeks and be surprised when he wasnt very sharp. To make a long story short, your gettting a pretty decent lefty for the pen. |

no you aren't
scott eyre has had one (1) good year in his entire career. look at his stats. idk where everyone got the idea that eyre was a quality lefty arm out of the bullpen. it must have been the big contract he signed (after that one good year) because he's never had the production to back that up. |

As a lefty specialist, hes just fine.

Blech
Hamels has allowed three runs or less eight times without getting a win, including losses of 1-0 and 2-0. Hamels is 0-4 with four no-decisions in those starts. He has a 3.19 ERA in his last six losses. |

Well at least I know how Mets fans feel whenever Santana is on the mound. Its retarded how this team just completely forgets how to hit whenever Hamels is
pitching. He should probably have at least 15 wins by now.

2 out of 3. No homers this series. I'll take it.

I liked him a lot better than I do Howry or Wuertz anyway. I was just wondering if the Phillies actually plan to use him or they were cockblocking the Mets for his bullpen services. |

hes a starter...we brought him up right before the all star game and he has pitched in one game and the layoff absolutely killed him cause he gave up some runs
too. the odds are hell be sent back down tomorrow with eyre taking his spot.

I saw Manuel brought him late against the Fish because there was no one else and he gave up 3-4? runs which broke the game open. I thought maybe they were
trying to convert him into a reliever for lefty situations. I can't believe Romero is lone southpaw.
Yankees had no lefty all year until they got Marte. Unreal. |

well they brought happ up with the expectation that one of these two things would happen a) myers would suck and/or b) blanton would suck. then myers went out
and gave up like 2 total earned runs to the nats and cards, and blanton pitched really well too so he couldnt take either place.

Well, Mariners beat TB with a Raul walk off home run. I almost feel bad cause TB needs to win to stay ahead of the Yankees, and the Mariners winning means
absolutely nothing.
But it was exciting. |

Cubs really need to expose TLR and the Red Birds for the frauds that they are this weekend, especially with the Brewers having 7 games vs. The Natspos and The
Badres.

I really wish June and July would have been used to give Dillard and DeFilice another shot, as well as Pena. Find lighting in a bottle with one of 'em and
ride it out.

Since it's been clear for some time now that the Marlins are the Phillies most serious overall threat, i've decided to become a Mets fan for the next
three days. Conversion will include not showering and slowing down and moving my lips when i read. I will however, change my underwear daily as i will be
shitting myself when the bullpen comes in.
