Yeah, but we can't kick y'all out.......yet.
Besides, the people that don't vote Republican in Texas are about as effective as the people that piss against Niagra falls. I'm just trying to scare Jibby away from Texas anyway. |

SF is the only city in california where it's legal to not drive to work. If you get caught on public transportation in any other city they can take you off
the bus and shoot you on principal.

DC has a fabulous metro system. You can pretty much get around DC w/o a car and take the metro to suburbs of MD & VA.
Traffic is a bitch there and housing is a fortune. I would never move back. |

the only good bus system in Houston is the park and ride and it mainly goes downtown - there's only one hospital there, though you could catch the rail to
the medical center
the big problem isn't gonna be getting to work - it's getting anywhere else: out to eat (metro pretty much shuts down after 8pm), grocery shopping, clubbing, etc. |

JibJab, you've spent your whole life in a cold climate. I think you would melt
anywhere in Texas. It's just too damn hot. I live in Atlanta. It would also be too damn hot for you. Stick to the northern half of the country. |

I don't mind dry heat. Humid heat is what kills me.
Sorry, I was taking a nap since I pulled an all nighter for a final last night. This is the first thread I've made asking opinions in MONTHS and OT has been boring as fuck so you can all DEAL WITH IT. Also Rofag, I don't have AIDS, so you can stop slandering my name, you five-headed caveman that molests children half his age. San Diego's transit actually looks useful! How good is it? Transit maps really tell you nothing, and I've already looked at them all. And Quaf, I am applying to jobs in ALL these cities and seeing who interviews me. I'm not moving and then applying. |

I have lived my entire life in Chicago and have never owned a car. You can get to anywhere from anywhere in Chicago and from the city to many of the burbs too.
The buses and trains also run until all hours and some run 24/7. However the transit is very dirty, expensive and running out of money. Not to mention that a
lot of the el stations/tracks are literately 100 years old. They have a lot of slow zones on the els and subways and at times it seems like the tracks are
being held together with used chewing gum and band aids.
