Does the weight of the onion change if it's cut differently? Each piece may be heavier, but that is inconsequential in the big picture. Then they cut to her wasting time trying to force huge chunks of onion into the container opening. Besides, if one were to fill up the entire container it's actually better to have small bits as it will fill in more of the space while large chunks will leave lots of open, unfilled space. It gets even better when Ollie, watching from the sidelines, comments about how smart she is for using big chunks. Wtf. Simple logic anyone? That's been bothering me all week. So the next time I'm at Safeway I'm bringing a knife and cutting board and chop up all my fruits, vegetables and meats before going to the checkstand and save $$ because then they will weigh less. Makes sense to me.
