Whoa, I wake up and Canada went from 4 medals to 7 medals. The men's rowing eight came through with a gold beating out the Brits. The men's rowing
lightweight four just snuck in to grab bronze, as did the women's lightweight double sculls. 2 golds, 1 silver, 4 bronze! Canada's in 16th place in the
gold medal standings!

Team GB are 3rd in the medal table. How the fuck did that happen?
I see us slipping. We've had all our good events. Not bad though for a country thats smaller than Florida considering China and the US are in 1st and 2nd. yay! |

We have seven medals now? Whoa, I hope they accounted for that extra unexpected weight on the plane home

You don't have enough money for a plane! Cochrane is gonna drag all your athletes in a dingy across the Pacific.

Meh, I find it hard arguing about the Greatest Ever. I find people like Kerry Strug to be the greatest ever - nails a landing on a sprained foot to help the US
win the team championship. That to me is a great olympian.
I would agree though, pretty tough not to rank Phelps up there, although personally the Dara Torres story has been much more amazing to me during this Olympics than Phelps-palooza. Competing at 41 and being in 5 olympics -and still being extremely competitive at 41, when the rest of the field is 20? Now thats hella cool |

Whats with all the Eastern European women runners wearing full makeup...frosted lipstick and all?

Canada's Blythe Hartley finishes in 4th place in women's 3m springboard diving! She just misses out on the bronze by a mere 15.25 points.
Congratulations!

When you're celebrating 4th, you know you've hit an all time low.

Yeah, you're right. That's worse.
I have that fear for London 2012 |

I think with GB's cycling program, they'll cop at least a few medals in 2012 - and that's where a lot of their current medals are coming from as
they have 10 medals in that alone
