Smokeitgood, looking at your avatar reminded me of the poor showing in recent reality tv competitions for us gays. In last season's survivor with Chet, then with Bobby from the mole and even Todd unable to compete with the other men with respect to the physical competitions. I am hoping that Charlie, as and endurance athlete, does not fit into the overusedstereotype of the weak gay man, and an inability to compete physically.
Steven was my hope on big brother, but his early exit also made me wonder if a physically strong gay man might be a bigger threat to the straight alpha male than other men. I could see some of the competitive nature arising, as we saw when James was beaten by Colby in Palua, that there is a stigma attached to being beaten by a gay man.
So here is hoping that Charlie will be able to move forward and break out of the Chet or Bobby mold and compete like any other man.

On the other side of things, this thread is FINALLY exploding with information. Unfortunately, as someone pointed out it will be the majority of the young, and attention seeking types that are being outed early on their myspace profiles. I am sure we will have the interesting character types emerging with the cast announcement.

I for one am not competely disillusioned with the cast so far.

Is it likely that Danny aka C.G. is on the show? He could be interesting, a hip/hop rap artist and producer.
I saw alot of communications to his profile through the summer when he should have been in Gabon. Where as the others had little communication in their profiles through June/July.

A co-worker's friend of a friend tells me that there's a friend that had been missing in action for a few summer months and just recently returned home which happened to be the same time that production wrapped. This is getting into spoiler material for the contestants now with your description of how he looked and what he might have done. Do you have any other information??

Did Charlie look like he lost some weight, how much? It is very surprising that a lawyer wouldn't take the time to shave his beard off before he returned however.
