FAVORITES. I know hardly anyone ever comments on the finales, but please spend a few minutes to leave some comments even if it's just one or two lines. Although predictable, are you satisfied with the outcome? Very much so. I thought it was a very good ending to the story. The F5 TC was an interesting change of pace because it really propelled Mikey and Tracy forward, while allowing them to save Mary and possibly use her vote at a later date. When it got down to the Final Three, I definitely expected Brooke to be the goat, but it all came down to who would actually win the challenge. Luckily, it was Tracy, someone who I've supported since Day 1 of your story. As Kitty Pryde stated, it's always nice to see your favorite character win after such a long period of time. As for the claims that it was predictable, maybe the Final vote was. But I didn't think that F5 was really. I guess this is why I would suck at "Survivor" but I would have voted for Mary. You very smartly considered all of the options that Tracy/Mikey had and I didn't see it coming till the vote was read. (B) Which story has been your favorite so far: Guatemala, Exile Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, All-Stars: Belize, China, or Micronesia? I's probably say China or Belize as my #1. This one was awesome too, though. (C) What was your overall favorite part of the episode? Kathy at FTC. I also always enjoy reading all of the jury speeches and this was no exception. You've been a loyal reader for the last two seasons, always replying very quickly, and I've enjoyed reading your thoughts every week. I really appreciate it! :) It definitely wasn't predictable, IMO. Well I did guess it right, but there was still a chance that Mikey B could have made the finals. Also, I thought there was a great possibility that Brooke would have given Eliza the idol just in case, knowing that they wouldn't vote for her. Plus, the surprise f4 TC right after the F5 one. Thanks. You guessed everything perfectly, but I do agree that there were a few possible things that could have happened. One of them, as you said, was Brooke taking Mikey B to the finals, which is probably what should have happened so that the ending would be set up as a surprise. That's what people wouldn't have been expecting, and Mikey would have most likely won with a unanimous vote against Brooke as well. I did consider Brooke giving Eliza the idol as well, but I didn't want to have someone give it away again after Frosti did in China. I've only read China and Micro, and I think I liked China better ... probably because I like smaller cast seasons better in general. Both were great though. Thank you, I agree with you here! Final 4 TC struggle to persuade the votes. I wish I could have had even more at this part, but alas it wasn't possible due to length. I actually wanted to have a Palau-like situation where Mary openly said Mikey was going to vote for Tracy if she didn't win Immunity (sort of like a Tom/Ian situation), in an effort to persuade Tracy to vote out Mikey, but it didn't happen so I decided not to go with this. 9.5 Thanks for the 9.5! I'm very happy with that! :) Thank you for filling ou the Popularity Poll, and for those Edgic ratings. Great job on them! I wasn't sure if Brooke would get a Negative for this one or not... If I were watching this on TV, I'd be thrilled. I'd have loved a Tracy win. The actual Fiji season was awful, ok. But knowing that Earl was going to win from Jump Street made it a little easier to swallow for me. A whole season about how Earl wins. Similar to Tom, but Earl wasn't such an arrogant prick (to me). But when reading a fanfiction, more of my investment becomes who goes when. When I'm watching, I oftentimes don't care. I like to watch their experience. But it's kinda hard to do that in text. So it is a lot more enjoyable to me trying to figure out who wins, who goes, etc. So my enjoyment of this season has been slightly blah, because of how overtly obvious the conclusion was. True. I understand what you're saying, and I'm sorry that it ended up being so obvious. I mean, I knew that with Tracy winning unanimously, she had to be a bit more of a clear winner, but I didn' think it would be quite this obvious. I feel like there were some surprising boots, maybe more so earlier on in the season, so I hope that you enjoyed those blindsides as they happened. Sorry that there was no big shakeup at the end to make it less obvious. I also have to say I wish Brooke's jury answers weren't so good. It annoys me so much when people give good jury performances and they're completely ignored because juries are pigheaded idiots. I'm sure you'll respond by saying they weren't ignored, but Brooke was in too deep a whole. And fair enough. But I would have liked to see her fall apart, instead of give awesome answers which made me a little annoyed she lost 7-0. Again, this is a very fair point. I definitely agree that Brooke gave some decent answers. She screwed up on a few, but some of them were exactly what she should have answered. I didn't want to make her completely fall apart with the jury, but I thought her performance would be worse than it was. Some people may have ignored what she said - I honestly think that even if they weren't bitter towards Brooke, Tracy would still look better in just about every way. But regardless, I think most people had their minds made up already or they were 90% sure they were going to vote for Tracy regardless. It would have been the same if Mikey B was in the Final Two. I understand your point though and you're definitely right about it. But, first and foremost, amazing job, as usual. The amount of effort you put into this is wonderful, admirable, and I hope you get a lot of fulfillment out of it. Because it really is a wonderful piece of work. Thank you very much. It's really nice to hear this, and I appreciate you saying it! Three years ago, I didn't think I would finish Guatemala - I expected to only write a few episodes, and now I'm going to be going into season #8, so I'm definitely still enjoying writing (even though sometimes I know I overwork myself on it, and that's my fault) and happy that everyone else is getting enjoyment out of reading. :) Hope you will check out next season, and that you enjoy that one as well. What I did was I put in the 10s for Aras, Alexis, and Mary so that their averages went up because of it, but everybody else was left blank so it didn't bring them down at all. I think that was the most fair thing to do. That's what I do when someone gives everyone voted out a 0 or 1 because it would otherwise bring them down for no reason.

I felt it was a smart thing for Mikey/Tracy to do, but if they voted off Mary at fifth, Mikey would have just beaten Eliza in the fire challenge instead of Mary, so it would have been the same Final Three no matter what. I really could have gone either way on Eliza/Mary. The reason I had Brooke win the Final IC is basically what you said. If T or M won, she'd be the goat that they brought to the Final Two. This way, it was a bit more suspensful (I hope) with her having to choose between them. Well, I'm glad to hear that you didn't think the whole thing was predictable. That's good! :) I's probably say China or Belize as my #1. This one was awesome too, though. Thank you. Glad to hear it - especially All-Stars, since that's a fairly uncommon choice for #1. Kathy at FTC. I also always enjoy reading all of the jury speeches and this was no exception. I always enjoy coming up with the jury questions. Sometimes I struggle to come up with some (ie. Kathy) but I thought most of these, if not all, fit with their characters pretty well. In a way, I kindof like that no one was overly bitter, and that was partly to make it look like Brooke actually had a chance too. 10, for sure Thank you so much! :) I think the ones listed have been great so far. The episode itself, I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the first part, that is the part before the double TC. I didn't really see anything that interesting happening, and I think the tribal scenes in your previous finales have been better. Then luckily the episode picked up after the boots, and even though it was pretty obvious Brooke would win immunity there were at least some clearly better parts. The final TC then again was really good, and I enjoyed most of the questions even though it was kinda obvious Tracy was gonna win at least 6-1. (B) Which story has been your favorite so far: Guatemala, Exile Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, All-Stars: Belize, China, or Micronesia? Guatemala and Fiji are the clear top2. Micronesia dropped down a bit due to the finale, it's next with Cooks and Belize. Then China which was still very good, and finally Exile Island which stands out as the worst ( yet still good ). I mean, yes, we all thought Leslie would win, but she was far too positive. And in addition to that, there was absolutely no way Leslie was going to lose the game if she made it to the final 2. With Tracy, she was positive, but not overly positive. And she had cooldown to go with her big moments. And even going into the final episode, she still could very possibly lose to Mary, Mikey, or Eliza. And I think any of them could've beaten Brooke similarly to Tracy.

I guess I was one of the only ones who didn't want to see Tracy win. Not only did I not really like her (although) I was starting to come around, it just seems in every fanfic with Tracy in it she goes far. I thought Brooke played a better game and I picked her to win from the beginning so I was definitely rooting for her. Overall, very well-written season and it was an exciting read (aside from the finale which was predictable).

I followed the season, I enjoyed it, but I didn't like that I knew who won by episode 4 or 5. And I agree that there seems to be this Tracy obsession in fan fictions... like, she didn't even make the merger. All she did was protect old people, lol. I dunno. I just felt the outcome was extremely predicatable, I always feel better when I'm totally caught off guard. Stacy was definitely my favorite winner because I felt just that when she won. Aside from that, I can't take away from the AMAZING effort and time you put into these stories. Your work far exceeds any disappointments anyone has. We're all, of course, very grateful that you do this. It's a nice relaxer! Just wish Tracy didn't win because she was too predicatable and from what I read, wasn't really amazing strategically; her moves were common sense. Plus it never seemed like it was an individual idea; she just got the confessional, which I think added to the clarity that she won. Again, awesome work! <3

I think it's okay to have some predictable outcomes, and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I always have loved Eliza, but I think it was great how she got voted out. Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the Final Five part of the Episode. I definitely thought that part was better than the Final Three, but overall, I agree with you that the tribal scenes weren't quite as good as some previous finales (especially China). And even going into the final episode, she still could very possibly lose to Mary, Mikey, or Eliza. And I think any of them could've beaten Brooke similarly to Tracy. Okay, you're right, especially about Tracy not being overly positive. It's almost the same situation with Dave last season, except opposite. Had Dave not won, he would have been more OTT and more negative. Had Tracy not won, she would have been much more of a positive underdog like the Casaya Three in EI (as would Eliza and Mikey have). I definitely wanted to give Tracy cooldown though, especially after Candice and Dave didn't have any UTRs. You're right that she could have lost to some people and that Leslie couldn't (because of the Fei Long jury), so I guess they maybe weren't that similar.

I guess I was one of the only ones who didn't want to see Tracy win. Not only did I not really like her (although) I was starting to come around, it just seems in every fanfic with Tracy in it she goes far. I thought Brooke played a better game and I picked her to win from the beginning so I was definitely rooting for her. Overall, very well-written season and it was an exciting read (aside from the finale which was predictable). Well, I'm glad you liked the finale, but I know it was predictable. There's nothing I can say to really defend that, but I think most people did want Tracy to win. I don't know what other fanfics there are with Tracy in them other than island sun's and she has only made it to Episode 6 in that one so far. Still, I had Tracy picked as my winner before Micronesia even premiered, so I have no control over how far she went in other fanfics. I'm glad that someone was still rooting for Brooke though. Thanks for the comment about it being well-written and exciting - sorry for the disappointing finale. BlakeB717: I agree with chad6. I followed the season, I enjoyed it, but I didn't like that I knew who won by episode 4 or 5. And I agree that there seems to be this Tracy obsession in fan fictions... like, she didn't even make the merger. All she did was protect old people, lol. I dunno. I just felt the outcome was extremely predicatable, I always feel better when I'm totally caught off guard. Stacy was definitely my favorite winner because I felt just that when she won. I'm glad you enjoyed the season, and I'm sorry that it was pretty clear who would win from that early on. As I just said above, I really don't know about a Tracy obsession in fanfics. I picked her to win before Micronesia even premiered, so I didn't know that she didn't make the merge or that she would protect "old people." And if there is an obsession with her, I have no control over it. Anyway, I agree that it was predictable. Sorry. That's all I can say about it. Aside from that, I can't take away from the AMAZING effort and time you put into these stories. Your work far exceeds any disappointments anyone has. I think that would be an extremely interesting edit. I actually wouldn't recommend it. There's a reason why it's never happened. It just means that the character would be very simplified or one-note, but have extremely low visibility. Especially for it to be an OTT neutral 1 would be extremely difficult. OTTN1 would mean something like the person as a huge outburst for a few seconds and then is not in the episode at all after that, etc.

I haven't had much time to write detailed comments as I usually do, but I've been keeping up with the story as much as possible and I've really enjoyed it. Congratulations on another sucessful season. (A) What did you think of the episode? Although predictable, are you satisfied with the outcome? I enjoyed it despite being fairly certain of the outcome before it started. It wasn't your best finale, but it still tied up the season very nicely and resolved lost of the themes. I liked your decision to have a fan win, and although final tribal council was very predictable, it was still a great read. Like the recap, it did a good job of summing up what Tracy had done to reach the end of the game. On a separate not, I think this is the second time that your winner has been last in alphabetical order. (B) Which story has been your favorite so far: Guatemala, Exile Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, All-Stars: Belize, China, or Micronesia? China. As great as this season has been, the blindsides and suspense happened a bit too early. China's last few episodes were fantastic, but Micronesia seemed to peak some time ago. It would have been better if the middle of the game had been predictable and not the end. (C) What was your overall favorite part of the episode? The double tribal concil- a shock for both the castaways and for me.What really surprised me was the double tribal council and the final two. Ever since the merge, when you updated the challenge tracker on page 1, and I saw that the finale would start with five people left, have two immunity challenges and one 'final' challenge, I expected that you were going to have a final three going up against the jury that would result in a tie, to be broken with some sort of challenge, not a 'final' immunity challenge at the final three. So you really got me with that one, but it all makes sense now! (D) What would you rate this episode out of 10? (1 being the lowest; 10 being the highest) 9- There have been better episodes and finales, but this was excellent once the predictability was taken into account as there was clearly nothing you could do to adress this. I had no issue with Tracy being such an obvious winner- just as in the real Fiji, the unanimous outcome demanded a somewhat obvious edit. (E) Please post questions to be asked to the Survivors at the Reunion Show. I will be writing out a full Reunion again this season and I would like to address as many of the questions and issues as I can. How would the jury have voted if Brooke had taken Mikey to the end, or if there had been a final three. Also, how much of Brooke's attitude was created by the editing? For a while, I've been confused by her almost robotic blandness compared to Guatemala, and I thought that perhaps it was just the edit sugesting that she would lose in the end (which indeed she did), but to have Aras point it out confused me slightly. (F) What do you prefer I write for next season - Gabon with the actual CBS cast or a new season with 16 of my own characters? I'd be willing to read either and I believe that you could certainly pull off original characters, so do whichever you think would be better!
