Produce was all we really discussed at Acme. When that salmonella outbreak hit, that was pretty much the end of the whole affair.

Seeing as how over seven weeks has passed since the last post (and longer since Snewser's last one) I will fill in a bit more here having been told this
thread was in existence -- sorry to be a bit late or "then again no" to quote Bernie Taupin.
Interesting to see some "faces" from the past even going back to Planet Sucks where, yes for all you newbies watching, it all really started. Point to be made about any codex -- it is one person's view, experience, knowledge, etc. Right or wrong, slanted or not, complete or not. Having said that, Sera when is your time coming? Snewser is helping to put the picture in place puzzle piece by puzzle piece. Of course when he's done the picture won't be complete because the "hidden" will be covered up still, and of course we have no input from Dogstalker. Perhaps we don't need the whole picture to move on? In any event, three areas I want to touch on. First, Dogstalker still lurks preferring to remain in the background although his story is partially known if you want to go back and dig up the references and sources. As a few of you have stated being at Planetsucks, you know a bit of this era. I can say truthfully that I attempted to work with Dogstalker and have the survivor forums remain "alive" but as many of us know, Dogstalker got tired of Survivor quickly and even felt it would not last as a show. This was an underlying catalyst to the eventual birth of Sucks and virtually every other message board (public or private) that was created after that. Second, there is mention of a mole. Well, there were many. We have the existence of at least one "double mole." Moles were spawned in many areas at different times albeit most were insignificant. Some moles didn't even know they were moles at the time, but patsies collecting information caught up in the whirlwind. There has been comment about rifts in the EBT (spawned by rifts in Planetsucks and later issues with Sucks) - moles. Turmoil in Sucks itself (read the existing codex). Rifts in splinter boards such as VO (more than once of course) - again moles. I don't want to spoil Snewser's thunder because it is a major item in his ongoing saga here. However Slip, I did enjoy those late night chat meetings we had with Snewser. Third, Snewser some of us know who called you at Burger King. Not important though. The "danger" was what if some board idiot takes this to RL!?? I've heard some EBT/ACME memebers say they wouldn't want to meet certain others having met them once. While I find that understandable, it's interesting that from what I've heard outside the EBT/ACME groups that doesn't come up except when some RL threat is posed. My question to ACME members is if you wanted to only spoil and wanted an open board were you afraid to have other posters from splinter boards join? There were others that also did not want the general BS but to only spoil. What stopped you from increasing your membership or did you think you had a manageable number? E was dead wrong and we all know it. Did you not learn from her mistakes? Nice to see everyone. Peace. |

how many codexes do we really need to suffer?

Jaguar wrote:One of the big misconceptions is that there was any consensus on this point at all, there wasn't. Post DR there really was no issue that stood in the way and indeed there was quite a bit of influx from other boards. Of course I haven't participated over there in years but the few times I've popped in it looks like its mostly people who came in after the original crew had dwindled away. |

"how many codexes do we really need to suffer? Judging by your creation date of your screen name, you wouldn't understand them if they were posted. Otherwise, why not post with a name people might recognize? Still, you don't have to open threads and read them, but then again apparently that's what you virtually endlessly prefer to do. Further, this thread aparently has nothing to do with you so why not just go back to stalking elsewhere, ok? Besides, garner Sera's ire and you'll wish you hadn't. |

Jag, what was the area code of the Burger King caller?
Anyway, to move on with the story we are now into post DR territory. Although DR did not leave the picture, an additional source arrived. I will refer to him/her as TG. TG was a completely new and different kind of source who had authoritative information from someone who did not sign a contract. So, I slept better knowing there was no risk of tortious interference. How I *knew* it was authoritative is difficult to explain without giving it away. It started with cast lists of new members. In addition to that, I now had multiple, independent sources of the weekly boot picks. It was virtually impossible to pull myself out of this dark world after the arrival of TG. I felt duty bound to spoilerdom. The only thing holding me back from ruining the show was the fact that I had written an online game where that I was trying to keep above board and the scary nature of interfering with trade secrets of Viacom Corp and Burnett's LLC. I proceeded under the legal counsel of Sarawara. Just kidding. But seriously, I might have... |
