If he hadn't wanted to fuck them around, all he had to do was put Michelle and Jerry on the damn block. He fucked around. If he wanted to look like he was "protecting" them, he should have said, "I am sorry, I can't honor our deal, the stress of the moment and my physical exhaustion caused me to say things I should never have said. I can't put up my alliance, but I won't put you up Ollie, unless one of these two wins POV. My bad. Instead, he played his little games, proved that he lies really well, breaks promises and laughs his ass off about it, and put them all on the spot "naming" someone to put up.

They already knew he lied well. They've also lied, and they've laughed about lying. The only part that probably bothered them was the veto meeting, which I can understand. If Dan had put Michelle straight up, there's a better chance she would have been motivated and won veto. He wanted to help show Keesha and Renny that he would protect them before Memphis. That's why his spending too much time with Memphis is a mistake, but I think it will at least make them keep him before Memphis if they're on the block together.
