Sorry I haven't followed the list as closely (I've never played D/P), but I hope Combee hasn't come up on the list yet - I don't remember
seeing it...

Oh puuuhlease. With the possible exceptions of Misdreavus and Glameow lines (which are Pearl exclusives) Diamond's exclusives are FTW!

Cranidos line is MUCH better than Shieldon. Dialga is MUCH better than Palkia. Stunky's line is EASILY better than Purugly.

Are we really have this convo?
Let's see, I was standing in a store a few months ago, and this kid wanted to buy a Pokemon Diamond. But they were sold out, and they only had Pearl. So his mom was like "Honey, they only have Pokemon Pearl here, is it ok if we get that instead?" And the kid was like, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!11111 I MUST HAVE DIAMOND NOW!!!1111 ALL MY FRIENDS HAVE DIAMOND!!!1111 WAAAAAAAAAAAAA#$%#&#&#@$!^%*" So I didn't punch him in the face, but I did develop a fierce hatred for all Diamond loving whores from that point forward. ^_^ |

Oh, but there's all the Gen I,II and III exclusives. Diamond easily has the edge there
Mighyena>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Houndoom Scyther/Scizor ∞>> Pinsir Aggron>Walrein Kecleon>Stantler Tyranitar>Salamence (I mean, you can get Dragonite in both so what's the point of having a Salamence?) and of course Rampardos's attack>>>> Bastiodon's Defence |

Palkia > Dialga.
sorry his special move sucks. Roar of Time? OMG DRAGON HYPER BEAM HAHA. i agree that Cranidos > Shieldon though. |

No.
Bastiodon's Metal Burst attack would easily topple Rampardos. |

I put Sheildon = Cranidos because I personally think they both suck...
Anyways I have BOTH Diamond and Pearl but I chose Pearl first and it's always been my more favorable one. |

While arguing over minor details of Diamond and Pearl is fun (let's be honest, Sapphire is the only one where the superiority cannot be questioned over Ruby) we need more rankings, stat! |

40. Grotle (Grass/Ground) I don't know why the hell I ranked this as high as I did, but it's just another example of how craptacular the Pokemon of this generation were. Despite a double weakness to ice and a complete loss of its strength to Water, Grotle's not all bad. It's at least halfway decent-looking. But seriously, the grass starters have sucked ever since Chikorita and the creators need to fix that.
39. Dusknoir (Ghost) It's cool-looking, I'll give it that, but Dusclops was decent enough, and again, I never really cared enough to evolve a Dusclops to Dusknoir. That's the biggest problem with these new evolutions. They can have the coolest new Pokemon ever, but because they can't just make it a level-up evolution (stupid continuity), they have to make the process so unnecessarily complex.
38. Roserade (Grass/Poison) Pretty much the same thing as Dusknoir, except I actually could've bothered with evolving this one because it didn't seem as complicated, plus Roselia was readily available. Plus, Roselia was a semi-decent Pokemon in RSE, and evolving it improved upon that decentness to make it better. That's more than you can say about some of the crappy new evolutions that are just as bad as the old Pokemon and are nothing but filler.
37. Ambipom (Normal) I didn't really care for Aipom, and I still don't, mainly because of my hatred for the method of catching an Aipom in GSC and now in DP. But Ambipom at least looks semi-decent, and it's not a complete shit evolution. Not much else to say...I honestly don't know what I was thinking ranking it this high.
36. Mamoswine (Ground/Ice) Now THIS thing looks cool. I mean, I didn't really care for Piloswine, but it evolves into a totally badass pig mammoth that will fuck you up. Never trained one because I didn't care enough to find and raise a Swinub. It's just not high on my list of priorities.
35. Azelf (Psychic) As much as I despise the number of legendaries in this game, and as much as I hated the legendary trio in particular for being completely unoriginal, Azelf was pretty cool. Unlike Uxie and Mesprit, Azelf was actually useful in-game due to strong Attack as opposed to being a stupid tank. So for that, I'm willing to rank it in the top 3 (or 4, depending on classification) legendaries of the generation.
34. Hippowdon (Ground) This thing is like Mamoswine, only a hippo, which means we'll see it in Pokemon Survivor: Gabon, with a variety of mactors like Ash and Misty. It's a very cool design and I actually enjoyed fighting it in the elite 4. It's good to have on your team especially because of its ability to whip up a sandstorm.
33. Garchomp (Dragon/Ground) Honestly, I loved Flygon. It made my top ten in RSE. So why the hell did we need ANOTHER Ground/Dragon that doesn't even look like a fucking Dragon?! Garchomp only makes it this high on the list because of the fact that he's useful in combat. Were it not for that, he'd be ranked down low with the rest of the crap from his evolutionary line.
32. Stunky (Poison) It's about damn time they added a skunk Pokemon to the game, and Stunky is just about as adorable as can be. Sure, he's a pure Poison-type, and sure, he's pretty much useless, but I don't care. I love my Stunky and he made it onto my team in DP, despite being pretty much useless compared to the others.
31. Prinplup (Water) Surprise surprise, the Water starter was actually the last of the three starters to make an appearance on my list, and it landed just outside of the top 30 too. This is a credit to the crappiness of the generation again, but Prinplup should be proud. He's a penguin, and penguins are awesome. |
