On another note, does this not seem like a large plate of food for a survivor? And he has a plate, although it could be a share plate.
It looks like shelter, food, plates, cooking utensils and maybe water are provided at a level not seen since the early seasons. I guess it makes sense as Africa, season 3, became extreme with stories of kidney failure and infections.

Even seating area and a whitish picket fence! (what animals will that stop from coming into camp?)
Survivorfever has some great images of the first few days (presumably) at camp.

If that means "exciting" prevailing over "boring" than yes please. Maybe thats why Jeff hasn't been hyping this as "omg best season ever!1!!". But if Jeff hates it than chances are it'll be great.

This is the link that Survivorfever provided and it is a great high definition clip of the first episode. You can see the beard growth on Matty in the video, it is not a great deal but it is definitely there. It actually looks like he was wearing a yellow buff at the elbow and then it looks maroon on his forearm. I think they used this clip from a much later episode due to the fact that he uses the phrase Earth's last Eden, which is the theme of the show.
The cinematography on my 21" computer screen is pretty fantastic, and it looks like it will be explosive on HDTV full screen.
This clip gives us a fair bit of what the show will look like.

also.. does anyone know why we can no longer embed videos on this site?

I don't see anything and I think it's being read into way too much.

Anyways... do we know if the premiere is two one hour episodes (with two boots) or one long episode (with one boot)?

Everyone keeps saying it's two one hour episodes, but the information we're getting keeps making it seem like it's one two hour episode with one boot.

Sorry, everyone knew about "Earth's Last Eden" since it was, you know, announced at last season's finale. I also distinctly recall Marcus using the term in a pre-show interview - a true fan. <3

The reference I was trying to make is that this was probably chosen for early marketing that was dramatic enough for a pre-season clip. I understand that they all may have said it at some juncture during their game interviews, it was just that this one was probably most memorable, or most dramatic.

I can't remember the reference any more. I think an RNO story. But here is what it said.

CBS has announced it's bumping the debut of Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden back a week and will now premiere Survivor's seventeenth edition with back-to-back broadcasts of the show's first two episodes.

Personally I think facebook/myspace friend lists are only useful in who they aren't friends with, not who they are. I imagine most people probably friend everyone on the cast, regardless of whether or not they spent a lot of time with them in the game.

Also I'm sure Kelly has a facebook, is she not in anyone's friends lists?
