There are some stills from an upcoming episode here. And once again
it looks like an episode that will be all kinds of awesome. I'm so excited!!!!
BTW how funny was the Samuel - Deanna line. Before that, I thought that it was going to be some roundabout thing where it turned out Mary named her firstborn Dean after the mysterious stranger who turned up in 1973 to save her and her family from a demon.

So I hear Pileggi is on this show? Is this show good? Did he just have a guest spot?

Guest spot. They killed him. And yes, this show is good. Beyond good. Catch last night's Supernatural rerun online at CW if you want to watch Pileggi do
his thing. Not sure if it's up yet though.

i'm going to throw out something that most people will think is sacrilege, but i kinda feel it's true -
on an episode-by-episode basis I actually rate Supernatural as better than Lost. Even though it doesn't have the complexity or maybe even the better characters overall, I feel like most of the time when I watch Supernatural I walk away pleased and having been entertained for the past 42 minutes. OTOH, Lost has weeks-long stretches every season where I'm just angry or irritated by the lack of answers or resolution to storylines and the episodes piss me off. The only reason i'm really comparing them is they both are hour long dramas with an aspect of paranormal/sci-fi.... yet Lost is a huge ratings blackbuster and I don't know a single person outside of a message board who watched SN. I'm not sure if it makes it more fun to be a fan of a show that more "cult" than popular, but I just worry that without the fanfare SN risks cancellation. I think it does well for its network, but it seems like it's underappreciated in general. |

I have to agree with KITTY WHITE! I watch Lost but, (a ha) to everything you said. I feel much more satisfied after watching Supernatural. Perhaps it's
because story-lines (most) are wrapped up and this is more satisfying...yet, anything 'can' come back to haunt the viewer. Also, not as many characters
and story-lines to follow. Some of us are so busy or perhaps, it's an I.Q. thing!

kitty white wrote:The intention was to make her more human-like and less the demonic creature to make them feel guilty for killing her/it. At least, that's my opinion. I never suspected Gramps was yellow-eyes or maybe, he was only yellow-eyes at the end. |

hmm, interesting, so you really thought it was to make her more human like? it's funny, i honestly just thought the actress had let her hair grow out and
stuff and for some reason they didn't want to make her back into what she used to look like... i didn't think she looked slutty before, I thought she
looked cute!

I'm not sure about the two kids as I don't remember them from any previous episodes, but she was the only one that they killed on purpose. The FBI dude and the heavy set guy were bystanders. If she looked exactly as she did when a demon, that wouldn't instill any guilt feeling on their part that she died. Having her look more defenseless, i.e., college-type, may have been to separate her from the demon persona. And, yes, the actress probably let her hair grow out and darken, and refused to change it for the show. |

The two kids were from Bobby's past, and we were supposed to infer from the few clues that they had been eaten by a monster that Bobby had been unable to
kill.
also, I agree with the above post about Lost. I love Lost, and a few months ago I would have said it was the best dramatic television show on TV. But, for me, it really isn't. Despite an incredibly strong Season 4, Lost is still an ensemble show. And to make shows like that resonate like this one, they have to have amazing interaction and that fails sometimes. SPN, on the other hand, has three solid characters every episode. Sam. Dean. And their relationship. And because of that, the writers do an amazing job of tweaking one of the three and seeing where it takes them. And, also because of just the "three" of them, the episodes are that much more profound. You'd be hard pressed to find grief to the level either of the boys exhibit when the other dies. It just doesn't exist out there because they are that close to one another. It's a complete and utter reliance on the other and while that makes them that much stronger, it also comes with the hindrance that at this point in the series, they can't function without the other. They have both and would both throw themselves into the pit of hell for the other one on the drop of a dime. And honestly, I'd press you to find anyone in television who has a bond that strong with someone. You just can't. |

I agree 100 per cent reggie. This is a 3 'character show' with each brother and 'the relationship they have'. I don't think it could
survive without them caring/loving and surviving for one another; also the past they share. It's a very powerful part of the show. I just finished watching
Season 2's episode where their father dies. Again, the aftermath of how they show their emotions to one another is 'very real'. Sam wants to talk
and express... Dean wants to run from his intense 'guilt or shame' whatever it is he cannot express. Sam continually tries to draw it out of him. It
works. The writing is very good when it comes to 'these two' as brothers.
I don't think I've ever seen another show that has pulled off a brother relationship quite like this one. BTW: it's also fun for me as it's filmed up in Vancouver where I live and I actually have had 'coffee' (at Starbucks) beside 2 of the 'demons' from different episodes. Rather creepy! Also locations: The graveyard, the seawall, specific houses and 'sets' I've actually been to or live next to. All this time...it was
SUPERNATURAL!

That's awesome! You live in a beautiful area.
And I also agree with you. I can't think of a brother relationship quite like this one on television or in recent memory. They're either far more contentious, or they have other people in their lives which "dilute" their bond, so to speak. |

It amazes me that this show just keeps getting better and better. This season is starting out fan-freaking-tastic. I finally got around to watching
Thursday's epi last night and I didn't want it to end. Of course, the more Dean the better, IMO. I love the fact that Dean found out more about his
parents and that his mother was a hunter and how Yellow Eyes became involved with his family. And now the Angel is making it clear that Sammy is being a bad,
bad boy. Poor conflicted Dean.

Well, the numbers are awesome this season, each episode effectively ranking in the top rated episodes ever on the CW.
So it looks to be doing well. But, if Dawn O starts acting like a raging whorebitch again, the SPN "Kripke's Army" will just send her some more
rock salt like they did last time. Maybe she'll get the impression when she has to pressure wash the rock salt out of her fat ass.
Of course, the more Dean the better, IMO. I love the fact that Dean found out more about his parents and that his mother was a hunter and how Yellow Eyes became involved with his family. And now the Angel is making it clear that Sammy is being a bad, bad boy.The thing I love about Dean is that you know very well the first think he wanted to do was tell Sammy what he had seen. Like the first thing we saw in 4x02 was him telling Sammy about Castiel. So we have Dean, who is completely transparent with his brother, and Sam who is now the secret guy. (Well, he's always been, but now even more so.) I just love that dynamic. The essence of drama right there. God, I sound like a TNT commercial. THEY KNOW DRAMA! |

Agreeance with those who regard that ep as possibly the best Supernatural ep ever.
Normally time shift eppies are a cop out, but this one rocked. The reveal of the boys' mother having been a hunter? Blew.my.mind. And then Yellow Eyes shows up? YAYUMS! What's even cooler is that they're finally returning to the storyline of Yellow Eyes' army vs. the army led by Lillith or whoever's replacing her, which also encompasses Sam's psychic stuff and if he truly returned fully human. I wonder if they'll sort out why he torched Sam's girlfriend in season 1, ep 1 -- no baby involved there. (She's alive and well and boinking every thing that moves on Friday Night Lights, btw -- Tyra.) I wouldn't be too worried about the religious overtones. They've done this before, only in dealing with the bad guys -- in the ep where the demons turned a midwest town into Cancun, and Deano had the female demon trapped in the basement, she was talking about Lucifer and his issues, and her faith. A good guy angel showing up now is simply the mirror image of that. If in fact this angel is in fact a good guy. He's still way too cagey with his information, which is not something I'd associate with an angel. I wonder what happened to the Colt? |

(She's alive and well and boinking every thing that moves on Friday Night Lights, btw -- Tyra.)They already sorted that out. Azazel told Sam in...I think AHBL part 1 that he did that because he needed Sam set on his destiny honing his skills. And she would hold him back. I wonder what happened to the Colt?Bella stole it, but I'm a little confused as to what happens with that. I thought she needed it to protect herself, but I think she gave it to Lillith maybe to break her deal, but she also had to kill the boys to get out of her deal. And that fell through. I'm going to rewatch 3x16 later today, and maybe I'll remember what happened to it. |

Ah that's right, I remember something about that. So Yellow Eyes wanted to shake him out of Stanford and get him on the path to leading a demon army.
I was actually wondering more about the Colt in 1973 after Dean got timewarped out of there -- how'd it get back to Dan the original owner -- but yeah, where is it now? Still with Bella? And where is that bitch? Those stills look hilarious btw. You know they're going to have fun with that ep. I wonder how they'll handle the To Be Continued aspect though. Is next week a direct continuation of Sammy gone AWOL with Ruby or what? On the Lost comparison -- that show really bogged down last year, but has gotten its mojo back. Supernatural never bogged down. |

They killed Bella in season 3. She had to kill the boys to get out of her deal but she failed to do it (Dean got wise of her because of something she had in
her apartment to ward off hell hounds). Then her window closed and she was on the phone with Dean at the time and told Dean that Lilith holds his contract and
Dean questioned why she was helping him, she said something along the lines of "so maybe you can kill the bitch" and she was all teary-eyed knowing
her death was imminent.

Yeah, I knew she died at the end of 3x15. But I didn't remember what happened with the Colt. I know she stole it, supposedly to protect herself because of the deal she made. But Dean couldn't find it when he went to her
room. I feel like such a bad super fan. Gah!
