This show has way too much product placement, which is why I don't watch it when it's shown as reruns. On the most recent episode, Jake was reading
Playboy. Everyone has been on the show so far this season except for Rose. I'd like it if Rose not only returned to the show, but was on every episode.

I don't understand the hate for this show - I love it!!! Sheen and Cryer having perfect chemistry and comedic timing. The kid makes me LMFAO and Berta gets
the best lines. I want Rose back too. They really should highlight mom (Holland Taylor) a lot more.

I don't know why everyone hates the show so much either. It's not as formulaic as some shows are and Jake is one of the very few talented child actors
out there.

I kind of want them to bring back Mandy. She was fuckin' hot and hilarious. |

Mandy? Are you sure you're not thinking of Kandi?
http://www.watt-up.com/j_.../April_Bowlby%20(45).html The first two eps of this season are kinda straying into jump the shark territory -- Charlie has a son, Alan moves out -- but then they back off from it. Really interesting. I hope the writers aren't starting to run out of gas. Is there a character on TV less funny than the kid? And what was up with all the older kid look a likes at the exwife's apartment? Alan with a bunch of condom failures, his ex having boinked them all, or what? |

I only watch this on occasion. Its funny enough and I get why it is a well received show.
They are showing a Christmas Ep promo this weekend, sort of a Ebenezer Scrooge/It's a Wonderful Life dealio, where Charlie is watching his imagined death. A line of his ex-girlfriends walk past his open casket at his funeral. They each spit on him. I spit on my TV laughing. In some odd way that's how I see my funeral. I'll watch this one. |

Oh goodie! Sitcom seasonal eppies are usually lame, but Lorre does them sparingly, which means he's usually got a bug up his ass that he's spent years
trying to crap out.
Metaphorically speaking. Anyhow, this show gets no love around these parts, but it's been on a roll lately. The latest, in which finally something nice happens to Jake the fat .5 "man" and which leads the Harpers to wonder why their mother is trying to kill them, is amazingly good given how long this series has been on the air. Plus, the best vaudeville "didn't see that coming" gag since the 50's. |

I'm just usually surprised by the jokes they get away with so early in the evening. And I agree with whoever misses Candy...she was hilarious.
eta that that kid wasn't really charlie's son. Wasn't the ex just the kid's babysitter who did it to mess with him? |

Well, I'm very late but I obviously DID mean Candy/Kandi! She was a fuckin' riot. Played the dumb hottie role to a tee!

I feel like the episodes this season were weak compared to previous ones. Last week's episode was okay, but all the others weren't as strong. It feels
like the same joke is being used over and over: Alan has problems, Jake is dumb and fat, Evelyn hates her kids, etc.

Libra is a Whore Slut Skank wrote:Yup, I kinda agree. But somehow the show never gets old. The writers are too good. "Alan has problems" and for the first time we meet one of his patients, the gassy guy. Nice job having the pixie receptionist who was so thoroughly boinked by Charlie Waffles back for the sequence! "Jake is dumb and fat" He is and this the primary thing I loathe about the show. Yet.... "Evelyn hates her kids" But her grandson the Chef? "I can live with that," she says. I will remain glued to the screen until Lorre reveals her true agenda. |

I agree that the show is the same joke over and over, but occassionaly they mix it up with different plotlines - like last week's "why is mom being
nice to you?" It's still a must see for me every Monday night.

Yikes. Lorre burns off Emilio Esteves that quickly?
I would;ve thought an ep with Rose and freaking James Earl Jones would've meant the establishment of Charlie Sheen's RL brother for the next season. The brother I never had jokes were lame, so perhaps it's for the best. Hilarious vanity card though, that which James Earl Jones was saying as Charlie and "Dave" chatted. Lurved Rose tonight too: "I'm closer than you think." Beep beep. |

Loved also that JEJ said "Men" in place of the usual background singers or whatever at the end of the episode. This was one of the funnier eps in a
long time.

^^^agreeance - I'm hoping this means we'll be seeing more of Rose. The Stupid Jake joke is old and tiring though.

Loved Jake battling his uncle for the affections of the John From Cincinnati chick. And the repeat inclusion of the pixie recepionist, who is about as close to
April Bowlsby in undiluted sex appeal wow factor.
Otherwise, an unremarkable ep. My question concerns the vanity card, No. 236, which was censored from the broadcast, but appears on Lorre's website: Mom and Dad are fighting again. I used to think they didn't get along 'cause I wasn't good enough. For years and years I tried to be better, hoping that would make them happy and love each other. But even though I became the most popular kid in my class, they still fight -- now more than ever. God, if you're listening, please make Mom and Dad be nice to each other. I'm too little to make a difference, but you're God, you can do anything -- even help Dad sell off his chain of movie theaters for ten cents on the dollar. Or Showtime. Doesn't matter as long as it's worth forty-nine million dollars and makes Mom stop crying. It appears he's making references to something that happened in real life, maybe to himself. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is there an inside joke going on, perhaps personal trauma in Lorre's life? |

^^ No idea.
But every time a Vanity Card displays as "Censored" I am off to that website in a heart beat. I love the Censored. |
