Entertaining, yes. Just within the range of logistics, t'was bad.

I was bad in terms of task and the very obvious product placement. Needle-in-a-haystack challenges that pop twice in a leg is just not good and shows poor
planning. A lot of things copied from TAR12 and past seasons. The only thing creative was the Detour about Pick.

Are they gonna fucking get out of East Asia at all this season? Jeebuz, by this time on the previous seasons, teams were all over India, Emirates, Europe etc
etc ..

This leg and episode was a complete and utter DUD.
Mai and Oliver Stupid luck-based task screwing them. And don't get me started on the uberlame detour. Anyway, it's just ONE bad episode. This season is still good overall. Hopefully, it's not a sign of things to come. |

Compared to last season I thought this episode was alright

Whenever TAR did one of those needle in a haystack challenges, they always had more than the number of teams. Mai and Oliver had to find ONE in all of those
couple of thousand of disks once they were the last team left. How is that fair? Just adding two more disks in there would have helped them. Production has to
plan for bad luck and not penalize teams that badly if they're unlucky.
So the very next task right after that is another needle in the haystack?!!! WTF? And then a lopsided detour with one that is clearly easier than another. I still don't understand why Tania and Ida chose that one. It was ridiculous and pushed them one place back. I don't even know why Mai and Oliver didn't bother to continue and slept in the car. They could have said "fuck this shit" to production and took whatever penalty to get to the pitstop. Maybe it was because they were in the middle of nowhere at the time. And let's not get started on the lame fast forward. Just one? And this one on a leg that wastes so much time on searching? It was obviously going to lead to a huge lead. Probably half a day at least. If they're going to the airport from the pitstop, it might give them a much earlier flight than the rest of the group. This was a nightmare of a leg for anyone that had to go through it. Searching and searching over and over again would have driven everyone crazy. Oh, and fuck Sony and Caltex. Even at the pitstop, Alan was mentioning Sony again, like Sony had not been mentioned enough for half the episode. Fuck him for being such a spineless host. |

Even Nokia too. I'm sick of sponsoring Sony, Caltex, Nokia and Singha Beer.
Mai and Oliver had few money after they left the Sony Style Store. The taxi had a problem because the engine wasn't start. |

I hope the next episode, the production team's bunching instinct kick in. We need a fuggin' equalizer.

I didn't notice the product placement until everybody mentioned it

I thought it was lame how it ended. I think that instead of Allan going out to where Mai/Oliver were, I think they brought them in and make it look like that
is where they slept. I didn't care for Mai/Oliver, but they were totally screwed this episode!

I finally got around to watching this season. All 5 eps in one sitting. It was sweet. I'm going to guess that most people hate him but I LOVE Geoff.
He's hot, a bit of a cocky ass and intense about the Race.

I don't really notice the product placement either. I mean I'm aware of it peripherally but I'm thinking about more about the race and how
everybody's doing

^ That I agree.
Have a feeling that Geoff and Tisha will be the next to bite the dust. |
