6. 第二最愛 ("Second Greatest Love") Why it's #6 - Ah the title is so fitting. Leo should be everyone's "Second Greatest Love." First if you're pathetic enough. <3 <3 <3 Which he may or may not hav been for a tiny little while. o_O The melody is great, and it's one song that really shows off his falsetto. One of the reasons why I haven't learned it yet. =/ Why it's not higher - Alol I couldn't find a vid of the appropriate volume. This one's too loud. All the rest were too soft. Oh and in case you still can't tell the difference between Cantonese and Mandarin, this song comes in both versions, and I have them side by side for you to compare. Now which is which? It is a mystery. <3 Honorable Mention - 小指 ("???") I'm having old skool Leo fever today, and this is one of the first ones I actually liked, back in the day. I just remember calling it "Burgundy" since it seemed weird to have a random engrish word in his song. Burgundy like his leather jacket mayhaps. *swoon* |

Second Greatest Love is so great, one of the Leo songs on the iTunes. (alol, I always think of Fisherman's Horizon in the second video, the setting looks just like it! >_> FF influences FTW?) Fitting title, indeed.

5. 必殺技 ("Killing Move") Why it's #5 - According to Leo in one of his concert DVDs, this is his favo song. While it's not mine, it is still tres fabo. ^_^ The melody is great and its fairly easy to learn. Must.find.sheet.music.nao. Oh and circa the time this song came out, Leo was at the height of his new skool popularity. <3 Why it's not higher - That skank I hate is in it. Gag me. I'm gonna pretend her and Leo never had a fling, even though they probably did. He needs to use said "Killing Move" on her pl0x. Honorable Mention - 許願 ("Make A Wish") A.K.A. best duet ever. Giant love letters have never been more in style than it was in this vid. How lomantic. The production is so simple, but it adds to the song, instead of detracting from it. Oh and while Gigi Leung and Leo seem to have chemisty, she doesn't make me wanna kill her, so mad propz to that. =O |

4. 愛得太遲 ("Never/Love Too Late") Why it's #4 - Let the record show that this was the first official Leo song I tried to learn. It's so catchy...and yet ironically difficult to memorize. o_O The first one is just a Leo solo, and the second is a Leo/Vivian Chow duet. The vid makes perfect sense either way. Funky huh. Why it's not higher - You know, the song is named "Never Too Late" in the opening, but the direct translation is "Love Too Late." So which is it? Cuz those two things have very opposite meanings. *sniffle* I'm leaning towards the former, obviously. <3 Honorable Mention - 我还是你的 ("???") Oh noes! There's only a finite number of videos left in this thread. |

Good choice for #4, it's a really good song with GREAT lyrics.
As for it's numerous titles.... "never too late" is fitting to me because of the last part of the song, where the lyrics basically translate to "don't worry about the coming days, while you are still able to have fun, there are too many things going on in this world, don't wait until you're looking down from the sky (aka in heaven aka dead ^.^). It's not direct by any means, but I think it's telling you to really just live life to the max and it's never too late to start doing that while you're alive. That's just how I interpreted it when I heard it. And GP mentioned "belated love", which is pretty self explanatory if you understand the lyrics. |
