But tribes don't play for Immunity on double boot episodes. They only do a reward challenge and then two tribal councils (and an individual Immunity Challenge for the winning tribes in Vanuatu and Guatemala).

You might be thinking of Cook Islands, when Aitu won immunity and Raro got that bullshit "message in a bottle" that they weren't allowed to open until tribal council. They all thought it was a message about a merge, but it actually just said something like "You've just voted out a member of your tribe, you will now vote out another" and as a result Jenny was sent packing. That "twist" has always pissed me off because there is no doubt in my mind that if the beloved Aitu-4 underdogs had lost immunity, there would have been a completely different message in that bottle, probably saying that they didn't have to vote anybody out at all.

But anyhoo, I think that's the only time there's been a tribal immunity challenge during a double boot episode. Of course I could be wrong, after 17 seasons everything starts to blur together.
