its okay though, cause he said "blindside" in a really cool epic way.

Marcus had other options. The easy one was to Dolly out Susie. She wasn't going to stick the entire time I assume, she was a clear #6 when you only need 5,
and you ensure Crystal-Kenny don't go against you, see you as someone to deal with legitimately later on.
He could have explicitly promised Susie F3 and kept on her about it, maybe she would have stuck. Sure, it would have been a lie, but she's a good F3 partner if he decides to keep it and an easy enough person to boot otherwise. Marcus screwed Marcus by trying to be smooth on this one. He had another option, he went to keep the Kota 6 together. Trying to pull Crystal was probably a mistake: she saw right through replacing Susie, as Susie wasn't getting voted out. He overreached. He promises Crystal K6, takes out Susie, he's still here. |

Jeff is a douche. I thought the same thing when he said "blind side". Marcus knew he was getting at least two votes against him and potentially a
third if Susie flipped. And yeah, it wasn't a blindside it was a stupid pre-merge twist to fuck up Kota's game.

And how about not questioning her loyalties when you get back to camp. Kota had this game won, but they screwed themselves over because they're awful players. Even if there was a merge, Susie switches over to Fang, and Kota is screwed because they don't have the idol and there is no way Randy would risk a purple rock just to stay with the onions. |

Anyone else think Susie made her decision when Bob word vomited lulz?
So wait, people think this twist was created to rig the game? |

Kaizer wrote: Which is bullshit of Jeff because you can't expect a twist. Honestly, what's Marcus to do if a "twist" was for Kota v. 3.0 to reach into a bag for three individual immunity idols and just him and Bob didn't get one? It's obvious that the show manipulates formed alliances by throwing random twists into the mix. Honestly, why not mix up the tribes after every fucking IC so that there are no alliances/strategies formed! |

you whiners are ridiculous - every step of the game is planned out ahead of time. It's not like they saw Kota kicking ass and decided at that point that
they were going to toss in another swap.
What a bunch of maroons. |

This twist was way more fair than the other final 10 twists. Outcasts was bullshit. Savage had no way of knowing that Lill would be coming back to haunt him.
The message in a bottle I believe was rigged because if Aitu had lost, they would have a different bottle. Jenny was the most screwed over by producers I
think. Michelle was forced to go to tribal council without anyone in her alliance, even though they had already merged. Marcus had a numbers advantage in both
tribes and he blew it by trying to prematurely get rid of Susie. Its his own damn fault so all you people who had a Gaboner for boring ass Marcus should STFU.

The only person truly screwed by a twist was Michelle because they wouldn't let ANY strategizing happen between IC and TC. Everyone else dug their own
graves.

Mike8787 wrote:I don't see how Marcus knew he was in danger. He thought he had managed to play both sides, and did not expect his scheming to catch up to him and for both of the people who had promised him loyalty (Crystal and Susie) to turn on him. If you don't think you're going home, and you do, that's a blindside. Marcus was blindsided, just like Ace was. He didn't accomplish anything this week - if anyone did, it was Crystal. You can argue that the strong relationship he formed with Crystal is what kept him safe this week, and building bonds like that with key tribe mates is really what all good players must do. This is not the first time Kenny has used a critical relationship to advance his game. He seems to have a habit for having friends in many different places. Ken doesn't have a great social game and is too busy trying to make sure he's seen as the big player. His big moves have all been well-calculated to improve his game position. He's not going around making big plays just for the sake of making big plays. And considering his knack for making good relationships in many different places (and nobody having a bad thing to say about it), I'd say his social game has been relatively strong. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's the next Cesternino, but he's shown himself to be a decent player, at least. I'm just annoyed that the producers would so obviously attempt to affect the outcome of the game, and, in doing so, enable such a waste of space as Susie to get the upper hand over anyone.Right, because twists like tribal shuffles are pretty unheard of in Survivor. Why can't we just go back to the good old days when guys like Silas were booted fair and square? If anything, the producers handed the game over to Kota by giving them the majority on BOTH tribes.Well, honestly, that's not entirely true. Splitting up the Kota alliance by putting them into a 3-2 spot on both tribes rather than a combined 6-4 spot on a merged tribe definitely made them slightly more vulnerable. One person flipping on a 6-4 group would not have been enough for a clean mutiny, but it was enough to make all the difference in a 3-2 group. Just saying, the twist didn't really help the Onions. How would not voting out Dan have been any benefit this episode?Dan would have been far less likely to flip than Susie. He was booted in preparation for a merge where he could potentially perform well in individual challenges (and to root out a HII possibility, I'm sure). Susie was an incredibly fickle player who was not interested in sucking up to anyone, whereas Dan seemed very complacent with playing for a strong Kota and being an accepted member of that group. Marcus knew he was getting at least two votes against him and potentially a third if Susie flipped.No. He thought he had played both Crystal and Susie brilliantly, promising both of them spots in an alliance and ensuring that he would be safe at TC. He expected one vote, max. It's obvious that the show manipulates formed alliances by throwing random twists into the mix. Savage had no way of knowing that Lill would be coming back to haunt him.Sure, that was a pretty brutal twist, but Andrew might have had a better shot if he had welcomed Lill better or if he had jumped on the inter-tribal alliance with Rupert/Sandra/Christa a bit more quickly. The message in a bottle I believe was rigged because if Aitu had lost, they would have a different bottle.Still think this notion is absurd. Even if Aitu had a double boot, it's good for TV because it speeds up the Pagonging process big time. Instead of 3 post-merge boots of the Aitu group, you only have to sit through 2. Edit them as assholes who Candice and Jonathan couldn't stand to stay with, and you've got a fine season. The bottle twist worked either way. Michelle was forced to go to tribal council without anyone in her alliance, even though they had already merged.Oh no, not a tribal swap! Silas, Sarah, Heidi, Amber, Twila, Brad, Sundra, Aaron, Kathy S, Matty, Sugar, and not to mention Edgardo in the very same twist all went through the same thing. Gotta roll with the punches in this game. Granted, Michelle didn't have much of a chance to plead for her survival, I'll give you that. The only person truly screwed by a twist was Michelle because they wouldn't let ANY strategizing happen between IC and TC.She did have a bit of an opportunity to barter with Dreamz during Tribal, though. She blew it by giving a reason she might vote for him and not comforting him like he needed throughout the game. |
