Ugh. That preview of them all bunched together and then racing like mad people to the FF clue gave me flashbacks of Gus & Hera getting screwed by that exact setup in TAR6.

SmUsagi wrote:Ooo, Gategate vol. 1! After the shitty AOL task, the teams were all re-bunced at the Railway Museum, which had this giant vertical gate. Once it opened, a footrace ensued. The gate fell back down, hitting Hera and Freddy, causing the latter the flip the fuck out. The far more interesting part of that IMO is how the footrace turns into Jon/Bolo/Hayden knocking the number board down, causing the teams to search the ground for their numbers. |

Dandrew going next would leave a perfect F4. Super-comeptitive and all excellent racers. Anyone else getting Philiminated would be a travesty.
Great, great leg. WTG Ken/Tina on beating 2 teams even after a SB.Nice seeing NS/TD working together. |

It's not like season 9 though where the same teams were doing well and the same teams doing poorly

UHH, read the clues better...loved the paint soaking of that bitch who had no idea how to do the challenge
..then them riding up and down the street looking for numbers and writing the wrong ones down and the 2 guys having no clue either... the 2 guys out next...they.must.not.win.this. |

Typically, there is some sort of race for first place. Some teams are finishing better, but the legs have been pretty close. You can have rivalries in sports that are competitive, but maybe more one-sided. |

oh ehm gee wrote:You forgot the worst part. After being bunched up together for hours (which saved Lori & Bolo's asses), and then nearly trampling each other for numbers, the racers were then forced to stand around and wait while a rail car took them one at a time to the next clue. The time in between each trip was fifteen minutes, which meant that there would be no competition for the FF becuase the first team got a 15 minute head start. Gus & Hera, who were pretty much guaranteed to get the last number by design, had to stand around and wait for an hour and a half for a pointless rail car ride. They never recovered and were eliminated. And the absolute worst part? It was Frenddy and KKKendra who beat them out. Worst designed leg ever. |

Anyway I can't see G&H playing polo faster than the other teams.\ |

Since we're reminiscing anyway:
1) Didn't Tian/Jaree lose on their own account? They fell behind at the RB, but weren't they 4th after that and fell behind because they forgot to attach the yarn/clothes/whatever it was to the elephant, allowing Millie/Chuck to catch up? I believe they would've been 4th or 5th had they not screwed up at the Detour. 2) Gus/Hera were 6th after the Detour, but they couldn't find a taxi. I believe they lost due to that, but I'm still hating the fact Freddy/KKKendra survived. |
