I think they were trying to establish a different type of villain as opposed to Sylar or Adam who are definitley more animated when it comes to their villanous acts. I would guess the plan with Arthur was to make him seem unforgiving and flat out cold. Unfortunatley, it doesn't play that way at all.

Best part of the episode for me personally. Also, this just be my own personal hopes and dreams but I'm hoping that the writer's main reason for the Sylar/Elle stuff is to slowly but surely incorporate more Elle backstory into the show as K. Bell decides to drop the "Special Guest Star" credit and just sign on a series regular. And after last night I can confidentaly say that Elle and Meredith are easily, for me, the two best characters on the show. PS - Am I the only one who really got a chuckle out of the Claude reference?

It was definitely forced AGAIN. This entire season seems to be the Sylar redemption arc or something. First we find out he has urges, then we find out he felt so guilty he attempted suicide? Its getting overboard.....and for the longest time, I thought I was the only one who found Papa P annoying. He always seems to have the same constipated look on his face.

I'm gonna steeeal yorrrre powerrrrs and take over the world, you betcha! And yeah, he's not much of an actor. At least that makes him believable as Peter's father. The bastard killed Nightmare Man. And whatshisname from last season, immortal guy. COULD WE STOP KILLING THE INTERESTING CHARACTERS AND GET RID OF CLAIRE & PETER, PLEASE. Oh and smelly-fear guy. Just dumb. Sylar and Hiro can stay, but re-tool 'em dammit. How 'bout that security at the Company? I think Arkham Asylum, in 70-something years, has had less break-in/break-outs.

Mainly because it was stuff that wasn't already totally implied by what we've seen. It was nice to flesh out more of a secondary character, and Jessalyn Gilsig is such an under-rated actress. She really brings it all to anything, so it was nice to give her a nice central role here.

They call Tracy's powers "Freezing" and call Elle's powers "Lightening." WTF? Cryokinesis and Electrokinesis, tyvm. I think emo guy's powers had more to do with wind or air. (yes I'm a dork.)
