I don't think Julie from Vanuatu was a blindside either.

Burton wasn't blindsided the second time.Um, yes he was? Come on. John from Marquesas. Possibly the best blindside in Survivor history. I'm pretty sure Mitchell knew he was leaving. Not really. He might have had a hint something could go awry after Tina tried to get him to turn on Amber, but he still went into that TC believing things would continue to go according to plan. It's just that his boot was a relief, which is why he welcomed the forced tie that would undoubtedly send him packing. I don't think Julie from Vanuatu was a blindside either. She did not expect Chris to turn on her like that, not in a million years. with yau he knew either dreamz would live up to his promise or not.Every player in the game expected Dreamz would give up Immunity, and even after that, Yau has said he didn't expect Earl to vote against him. Rory knew at the merge the women were voting together (I think).No. The men thought Twila and Julie were with them until the votes were read.

John K and Brady was on the outs of the Lopevi tribe. Rudy was injured. Tina was aware she was going. Ib knew he was vulernable because BJ was going to be the decider vote. Blake knew he was going at the merge. Alicia probably knew she was getting voted out. Jerri (ASS) begged Lex to keep her. Good job on the rest though. and Richard. Surely hatch was aware he had a big red target on his back.

Jaquie stated in an interview that both matty and ken swore on their lives that they were voting kelly and she believed them..... Add to the fact kelly went
after ken and crystal at tribal worst than what was shown on tv she (jaquie) thought for sure she was safe...... Just look at her face as the votes were read
she was blindsided and disapointed in the result.....

Pretending to be blindsided and making death threats for fun was a better way to go for him than quitting. But if the records says that his boot was a blindside, then it's a blindside :) |

Rudy wasn't in any pain, people just insist that he was. The idea that he would want to quit and save face is farfetched.

Crap, I meant Brook and not Brady. I'm pretty sure that John K. didn't know he was leaving, but I can't say I remember the whole episode. Alicia definitely did not expect to leave by her reaction. Blake didn't leave at the merge, he was blindsided by Brian and co. You're probably thinking of Brandon. And again, Rudy did not think he was leaving. I doubt he would have threatened Saboga if he expected it. |

Ok Rudy didn't want to quit (actually he'd prefer to cut his leg off rather than quitting i guess) but
he was in pain and he knew he wasn't helping his tribe in challenges. His tribemates saw this and just let
him go... let's put it that way. And of course he knew he was going. The death threats for fun are just part of his character...and that's very funny

Jacquie was not a blindside. The woman was going around to people crying and telling them not to vote her off. She was in the minority and it was pretty clear that it would be between her and Kelly. She said she thought she successfully convinced them to keep her, and thought she was totally safe. Ignore Dictatorshit, in his eyes Marcus is perfect... but in reality, it was a blindside. He even said he was surprised by Crystal. |

I totally disagree that Rudy knew he was toast that second episode of ASS, go listen to the commentary for that episode. He was blindsided.

Not sure if Joel was really blindsided:
Did you know that it was going to be you at Tribal Council or were you blindsided? It was a little bit of both. First of all, I never would ever go to Tribal Council without everything that I had with me, because I just respect that forum. I said it when I first went to Tribal Council, I said "If anybody ever shows up here thinking that it's not them going home, then they're stupid." It can be anybody, any night, and then we voted. So I think it was a little bit of both last night for me. I didn't think it was going to be me, but about halfway through Tribal Council a light bulb went off and I went oh, well, I think I see the direction that this is going. |

Methinks some people here have a very loose definition of blindside. And by loose, I mean inaccurate.

Agree with beatles. To me a blindside is when the person thought there was a 0% possibility of them leaving. A lot of these alleged blindsides, the person in
question did hear their name thrown around, but probably figured there probably wouldn't be enough votes (probably) being the key word. That's not a
complete blindside IMO.

Edgardo wasn't a blindside:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUn95pib418 He says that asked Alex to give him the idol if people spent a lot of time writing, since his name was the longest. |

WylDawg wrote:If someone knew they were getting some votes but thought they for sure had the votes, and there was a switch up with a couple voters, that is a big surprise = blindside. Just look at Kelly from Africa. She knew that there would be 4 votes for her to go from Boran, but she also knew that 5 votes was a majority and was convinced she had those 5 ... blindside. |

Cindy was not blindsided. Steph told her that Rafe wanted her out, had Danni on board and that she herself was considering voting her out. This is why Cindi
voted for Rafe, rather than Danni (who would have gone if the alliance had stuck together), in a last ditch attempt to get the girls together. Steph did this
in an attempt to get Cindi's jury vote. So, not a blindside.
