Okay, so it's possible he's still alive? I'm going to believe, damn it. Guess I'll see for myself tonight.

Great finale, but Lafayette better not be dead. I don't care what happened in the books, how the hell can the producers allow arguably the most popular
character on the show to be killed off?
It. Must. Not. Be. Oh, and Pam's suit was perfection. <3 her! |

I think (hope) this was some serious misdirection.
I think some of those last few minutes were to those of us who read the books. I know my heart started pounding when Andy was getting drunk, then when Sookie said she'd call Portia to come get him. It was playing out exactly like the book, so I'm hoping there is some shenanigans at play here. Perfect finale. I was yelling at Bill, "Get back in the hidey hole!" |

That's not Lafayette, that's a dead woman. Total misdirection.

Re possible misdirection - I'm going to have to watch that last scene again. Man's foot? Woman's foot? Unisex foot (just kidding). Why does
Tara's mom have to hang around for another season? Her demon has been purged. It should be her in the car and not Lafayette.
Eggs is a pretty cute guy. I wonder if he knows what Maryanne is? Maryanne's butler/servant is very creepy. How did Tara not know that her phone was missing? Was Maryanne having a crazed maenad out of body experience in her backyard? I was hoping that Bill would be the one to save Sookie after putting his personal existence at risk like that. Could a vampire have attacked Lafayette? Pam's designer bag - does anyone know what designer? I loved her whole ensemble. |

Could a vampire have attacked Lafayette?I was thinking it was Bill, since when he came back to Sookie's all "fixed up" and said, "I fed"--it definitely left that option open. Also, when Lafayette saw whoever it was out back, it looked like he recognized whoever it was. |

I really hope that Lafayette is not dead, and I'm going to pretend that he isn't until I know otherwise. I'm hoping it was just misdirection as
others have stated.
Good finale. I hope to see Pam and Eric a lot next season, but I don't want Jessica to be a regular. I also don't think I will like Jason's storyline, although I think Jason is super cute. |

Yea, the power was out for only 90 minutes so I caught the 10:30 episode. I had to re-watch the end, can't tell whose foot that is but it was a black
person's leg.

Here is my theory with Lafayette...
I think it was Bill coming out of the grave looking for the first opportunity to feast, to regain health and heal himself, so he saw Lafayette taking out the trash. Bill was obviously burned to crisp which scared the shit out of Lafayette, which is why he jumped on the dumpster in a fright. I think Bill felt bad for sucking Lafayette probably DRY that he in return gave him some of his blood, causing Lafayette to turn in to a vampire. I DO think the leg in the car was Lafayette as a vampire either feasting or just chillin' in his Lafayette fashion! I DUNNO! That's my theory! lol THEY can't kill him off!

I can't believe the season's over, and they're leaving us hanging like it wasn't even a season finale, those bitches. |

I freakin' love this show. The finale was amazing. The last few minutes seemed a little odd to me. Like they filmed it really fast after they got the
renewal. Nevertheless, an awesome show. So, can we talk about differences between this season and the book? Or are there potential future spoilers involved?

OK, I love this show, but the finale was a stinker.
We were laughing hysterically at our house. Were we supposed to be? |

Love this show so much.
I remember that last weeks episode had Lafeyette painting his toenails at the bar while watching the politician on television. So that could have been his feet. Just do not want to believe it. I have not read the books, but wondering if the people who have read them find it to be a help or hindrance while watching the show. I would love to start the series now that I have until the summer to see the show again, but just not sure if it ruins the show. |

Angelica2003 wrote:Except he fed two weeks earlier and would NOT have left evidence. It was Lafayette, but Bill couldn't have done it. Remember, they showed "Two weeks later" and that's when they found Lafayette (or whoever). I'm thinking it might have been Jessica though. |

I'm going to miss Rene. He was hot.
Another gold tossaway quote from Terry last night: "Sookie? She left here with Rene. About twenty to twenty-three minutes ago..." And good ole Hoyt -- I think it's aleady been said that he'll most likely have an encounter with the new vampire next season. Why would anybody work at Sam's bar ever again? Most of the people who have worked there have died or gone missing. Worst.job.ever. |

mike, as far as reading the books..i'm glad i've read them because I like seeing the things they kept and the things they changed. They've gone way
off script from the first book with Tara, Maryanne, Jessica etc so it's not like you get totally spoiled from reading them.
