I really didn't find the proposal endearing.

ok, yes, my faith in Jiffy has been somewhat restored. The ashes sprinkling was really endearing. The whole episode was. I thought Matty's proposal to
Jamie was cute and all, but predictable and therefore overshadowed.
I'm glad that Sugar got to do that, especially since she was unable to attend the funeral. |

The proposal was meh to me. Nice, but seeing Matty cry like that was kinda odd. Sweet and loving, but odd. Now Sugar with the ashes touched me deeply since I
was a daddy's girl when he was alive.
Why didn't Sugar get to attend the funeral? |

I thought she went to the funeral but didn't speak.

Once again Probst overhypes a pointless scene. Everyone will have forgoten about it next week.

imo, Matty's proposal sucked but that's just me. The ashes thing was really touching though but casual fans will probably forget about it fast. |

This ridiculous display of snot nosed weeping for a grown man over asking a woman to marry him is pathetic. For the way he acted you'd have thought somebody died. I saw nothing "endearing" about it. He probly blew snot all over his girlfriend. And isn't he abit TOO OLD to be called MATTY anyway? |

How Probst could have called this "the most endearing moment in Survivor history" is pure craziness. WTF is endearing about a grown man in his
30's called "Matty" that blows snot all over his girlfriend while sobbing & spitting & whining that he wants to marry her & gives her
some shitty little nothing ring he made? Bet he'll be humiliated when he gets home & watches that embarassing display. Grow up Matt! After blowing a
substantial trust fund his actor grandparents gave him should have barred him from the show to begin with.

Yeah, that really needed to be posted twice. You make the other sunflower look like a rocket scientist. I thought she went to the funeral but didn't speak.

I'd still like to know which moment Probst thought was the most endearing, because he mentioned both Matty and Sugar's moments in his EW blog.
Before the season though, he said Matty was one of the most endearing guys...

I've only cried once while watching Survivor and trust me that was not it. (It was Cirie losing the tie-breaker in EI, yw!)

I don't think I've ever bawled or anything, but yea, Amanda losing twice in a row bummed me out for a while. Oh and even the Jenna quit with her
commentary over it was sad... I also felt bad for Amanda during her breakdowns. I guess we all connect to our favourites =)

Usually the eliminations make me sad, and they always happen in the damn finale! Some of the saddest things happen there:
Kathy being voted out Eliza being voted out Cirie losing the tie-breaker Cirie getting voted out DAMN IT! |

I agree with Sunflower. It was stupid and camera hog-ish. I hope Probst meant the Sugar/ashes thing was the endearing moment, because Matty's proposal was
gag-worthy.

Christ ILT. I don't even dislike you but your constant "OMG Matty *barf* Sugar <3" posts are geting pretty damn tedious.

The only times I cried during Survivor was during Ruperts "fat kid" speech and Penner having to leave Micronesia.

It's a messageboard, you don't have to ask. You're welcome.

I didn't even think of the Sugar/ashes thing as being the most endearing moment, but it was far better than Matty's blubbering proposal. It bought a
tear to my eye.
Matty was just laughable. He was stammering all over himself and after he asked her and she said yes, he was all "I have to be on my knees!" and asks her AGAIN. I mean, I would be totally going psycho after a month without seeing my sweetie, but he was just taking the cake. It was completely awkward. And worst of all I think CBS probably could've edited it to look halfway decent by only showing him saying it once and using his most cogent dialogue. |
