Seaguy has gotten multiple shoutouts from Kathy Griffin. That's more interesting than some of the people on this list.

But there are at least 500 other actors and actresses with movies coming up that need the publicity more than Will Smith and Tom Cruise. If they're that
hard up, why don't the just go on The View?
And I thought this is a list that people are 'chosen' for, as opposed to a press junket. Neither Will Smith or Tom Cruise have done anything special this year, I'm sorry. At the the pregnant man/woman is semi-interesting. |

Think there might have been an exclusive "get" that Babs was promised in return for including Smith & Cruise (not to mention Langella, who also
has a movie coming out) on her list? That would be the only reason for including these three (even if I am a big Langella fan).

The most fascinating thing about this years Most Fascinating people special is that it became apparently clear that Barbara Walters does not have the clout
that she used to have. I truly believe that the people on her list, minus Obama and Sarah Palin, are on her list because they were the only ones willing to sit
down and have an interview with her. I mean, she couldn't deny that Sarah Palin, like her or not (where I fall), was someone new who made press so she had
to include her, but yet she couldn't get an interview with her. I think she would have definitely had Brangelina on her list if they had been willing to be
talk to her, but my guess is that they wouldn't. I have a 14 year old daughter and her and her friends can't stand Miley Cyrus, she is as they say
"gross". Tom Cruise has not made a blockbuster in years and is regarded as a joke. Both of these picks are clear indications that she is out of touch
and out of the running to get the prize interviews. Time to retire Barbara.

If we're talking about interesting/fascinating, I'd have 4 from her list:
Obama (duh) Palin (agree that love or hate her, she was someone you couldn't take your eyes off; like a car crash) Tina Fey (much of this was due to Palin, but it seemed everything she touched this year turned to gold) "The Pregnant Man" (Regardless of what should be used in terms of names, it was a very interesting story. I also think it's important to not have all celebrities on. And, let's be thankful that the non-celebrity wasn't Joe The Plumber). |

2008 was the year that Will Smith was widely acknowledged as the most bankable actor in Hollywood today and there have been write-ups in several
magazines/newspapers about that very thing throughout the year thanks to I AM LEGEND and HANCOCK. So for that reason, I wasn't surprised to find him on
the list (new movie coming out or not). He's replaced the likes of Tom Hanks and ironically enough, Tom Cruise.

Did anyone catch todays episode? I caught a little bit when Elizabeth said that the Rev. Wright called her a dumb broad and then what did Barbara say he
called CNN and ABC?

She is a dumb broad, but Rev Wright needs to go the fuck away already.

Can I just come out and say it? I miss Johnny Carson! He never made someone feel uncomfortable. If I was a celebrity today, I would say forget it! If I had to
sit there in front of an audience and get questions shot out at me left and right, I would just lose it! It's not their deathbed confession! Just me.

they also discussed the possibility of Caroline Kennedy becoming the new senator of New York and Joy somehow compared it to Annie Oakley
Caroline has no experience; and Sarah had no experience then the brain trust of the panel said that Hillary had no experience when she became Senator OK, what they didn't state was that Caroline Kennedy would be one of 100 as Sarah was a heart beat away from the presidency and BTW, Sherri, Hillary campaigned for her seat and oh, yeah, she was married to the President |

Rats. I saw the AOL headline this morning about Elizabeth being called a "dumb broad", and I got all excited that it might have actually been said by
someone credible.
