Globes are January 11, so they can't be hurt by any SAG strike. This would be the awards show to enjoy since the Oscars could be so iffy (SAG wouldn't
dare boycott THAT, would it?), except for the fact that the nominations are so bad, except for "In Treatment" -- I'll root for that one. And
Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia! just because.

Where are Damages and Glenn Close? I would have thought Glenn would be a shoe in. I think she won last year and there hasn't been a second season yet. |

Just watched In Bruges -- it's good but a little strange. Sorta artsy -- very funny but lots of the jokes are geared towards the British audience.
Colin Farrell does a great job with a complicated character -- a sensitive rough guy. I hope it gets an oscar nod but probably won't since it came out
last Feb and has made less than $8 million at the box office. So it's one of them films the critics and 'industry' people like.
