I was glad to see Nicki got more face time this last episode, like someone said before it is like she is just lingering in the background. I also want to see more with Rodney, after the first episode I was really curious to see and hear more from him and I am still waiting on that. Hopefully they can get to it before the show ends, but Shifty coming into the picture and taking up a lot of the air time sucks it. ((I actually love Shifty but hated his band..I saw'em live at a music festival thingy a zillion years ago)) Also, I was watching something on E! a while back and reading their ticker thingy, and it said Steven Adler was in jail, he got caught with drugs and had to go in because he was already on parole...that was just a couple of weeks ago, so I guess he didn't make it out well? I like him a lot, I think he's really real and honest. And I love Amber and I hope she can get better too.

Hope it was after August for his sake. Anyone know? November rain came three months early, as Guns 'N' Roses drummer Steven Adler broke down in court this AM after pleading "Not guilty" to drug charges. Adler -- who told us he's already used up his scratch from "Sober Living" to pay for rehab and lawyers -- was busted last month for allegedly being high as a kite. The judge said Adler must stay in the Pasadena Recovery Center -- and that clearly pissed Adler off. So after court, our guy told Adler the BEST THING EVER -- he hoped Steven's sobriety would come before Chinese Democracy.

I just looked at his wiki page and it stated this: "Adler currently resides in the Hollywood Hills. In 2008, he entered the Pasadena Recovery Center to participate in the second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.^[24] However, on July 18, 2008, he was arrested in Los Angeles after police were called to respond to an early-morning disturbance in Canyon Drive, under suspicion of narcotics possession, being under the influence and an undisclosed outstanding warrant.^"I found the article about his arrest. http://articles.latimes.c.../19/local/me-gunsnroses19 I haven't found anything about what happened with the charges. Sad. I was really pulling for him.

The original drummer for Guns N' Roses will likely avoid jail time after pleading no contest on Friday to felony drug possession charges stemming from a July arrest. A Los Angeles judge ordered Adler, 43, to return to court Dec. 12, where it's expected he will be sentenced to rehab. Adler was arrested in July in Hollywood after someone complained that he was causing a disturbance. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of being under the influence, but the DA's office says that charge will likely be dismissed if Adler is admitted to the treatment program. (As opposed to someone like Sean) Although when you've been in and out of rehab, it makes your chances that much smaller, I guess.

I guess it is so easy to be sober when you are in the treatment facility and there are people and cameras all over your ass 24/7. There are tons of positive people and all that support, no real negativity. Lets face it, no mail, no phone ringing off the hook with your "old friends" bugging the shit out on you or bill collectors if you got it like that... I guess it's just too easy to get back into your old ways when you get out. But two weeks is just not long enough to get sober, most programs are thirty days or more. I blame this on Dr Drew. He should know better. Why is he only doing two weeks? It's as if he's setting them up for failure. That in my opinion is so stupid here Dr Drew this is from me :

Most addicts I know have maintained lengthy periods of sobriety after only 2 weeks at an in-patient facility followed up by a 90 day outpatient program. Then meetings, meetings, meetings. Outpatient programs are still very intense & do spot drug tests. Some even offer half-way houses. We don't know that Dr. Drew doesn't arrange all that for these guys.

I think Sean could use 30 days, as well as Jeff and Steve along with Amber. Not sure about the rest of them I am not paying attention to them really. I think two weeks with the cameras, then continue until they reach the goal of 30 with out the cameras. Then do some sober living. Do the meetings meetings meetings. If they are left to their own devices they will fail, you know as well as I that with-drawl can still occur for longer that two weeks. It's just so sad, don't ya think? I was glad to hear that Jeff can still sing. He actually sounds good after all he's been through. Fluffy! So how was your Turkey Day? How's Scrub? Tell her HI from SAM.

You have to work and submit to drug testing as with any sober living facility. If you go or not is up to the individual to decide. I personally don't believe a 21 day tx program (what PCR offers) IS enough for most people, esp. people like Steven who have never lived life sober as an adult. He's obviously trapped as a tween emotionally and needs some hardcore therapy. I really, really want to see him do well. Ditto Amber, who needs all kinds of help dealing with Mommy issues and the fact that she is homeless, broke, and has no marketable job skills. (except at the Bunny Ranch)

I've seen alcoholics go to 5-6 rehab programs, some up to 6 months and not stay sober, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. AA and NA are both free, you can find meetings almost anywhere at anytime. The biggest thing to stay sober is to work a 12-step recovery program every single day of your life (honestly live by it, it's an awesome way to live for anyone), have a sponsor and go to meetings, everyday or more at first. Also a huge thing is giving back, sponsor others.
