Okay, Just caught up with all of you on the show. There are many steps to getting sober. This show is fantasy land. If they do it different in L.A. then so be
it. Anywhere else, It's step by step and you have to share a room in most cases. You don't wake up like Dorothy and feel like it's not Kansas
anymore. I was really put off by all the cast saying that the Living Sober facility was not up to their standards. You are there to get better. You can't
judge. Just be real!

Yeah, I think they missed that living thet way was part of the humbling of rehab. Fuck ups.

What happened to Amber's mom? We haven't even heard how she was doing. Vicki seems to be doing well, at least she was before Jeff assaulted her. I
would think Amber & her mom would be happy to stay anywhere considering they are homeless. That place looked fine to me only it was messy. That would be
a deal breaker in any other half-way house. You have to keep it clean so you can feel clean.
Poor Shelly. She almost went over the edge. Why doesn't she ever fix that nasty hair? Doesn't anyone tell her that the bedhead is out now? |

I kind of agree with the cast about the Sober Living House. That place looked like a college frat. I know the idea is to focus on recovery and the place
isn't supposed to be a hotel but seriously it was depressing. What was with the wreath made of doll parts over the fireplace?
Jeff Conaway? Dude, your wallowing in self pity is getting really old. If I was Vicki I would have punched him in the throat. For someone who is "in constant pain" he throws a mean kick. Whatever he could scrape together of his lost career is definitely gone after the cameras caught that pathetic display. Next time we see Jeff it will be in the "In Memoriam" segment of the Emmys. |

I like Jeff and then I don't like him. I'm firmly under the impression now that he wants to be forever hunched over and fucked up. The only person that
is going to save him will be Jeff. Period. Same with Shifty. Some people will go the extra mile to recover and then you've got the ones who want to get
everyones sympathy. The act only takes so long before we all get the picture. Dr. Drew and his associates would be better off giving their advice and help to
people who really want it. It's not that you just need to get over your addiction. You have to personally want it. I'll say it again. Recovery houses
are not picture perfect. There are beds unmade and smoke stained walls. It's not a vacation resort. You are there to understand and get better. No, I'm
not an addict but have known many.

merryz93 wrote:I think it's made very clear to them how to stay sober. Every addict has to decide whether they're willing to really do the work to get sober. Deciding to live in a sober living environment with others is part of it. I don't know that I'd relish living that close to strangers and all of their crap myself and I'm not famous/infamous. They need to discover that it's their path to living, they're not choosing a vacation place. |

I have to agree, I think Jeff is such a hardcore drug addict and so NOT into getting sober that he is using the back problems and the surgery bullshit so he
can get meds and so he can slack off and complain.
I go in spells with him too, this season and last season where I like him a lot, I feel for him, I get it.. but than shit happens and I hate him and I think he is just a nutcase. I don't especially love/hate Vicki either, I think she has been fake at times, but I think just when she starts getting real and trying to better herself, Jeff fucks it up. They ARE toxic together. Nikki singing was awesome, I can't lie.. she rocked that performance. <3 |

I agree that sober living facilities aren't supposed to be vacation retreats but that one was actually very nice compared to some halfway houses I've
seen. It was just a nasty mess... which is ridiculous, whoever runs should never tolerate that. The addicts should be made to keep it clean. That can actually
be a healthy part of starting their new lives sober, keeping their crap organized and straightened up. Unfortunately, if that Sober Living facility was for
celebs, I'm sure they think it's beneath them to clean their own house and that attitude will do nothing for their sobriety.

I'm sure everyone has Jeff on their death list
wonder if the police ever went to their home for domestic violence she kicked him: he kicked her thinking Dr. Drew is fed up with him.. |

Jeff and Vikki have a myspace, http://www.myspace.com/vikkiandkenickie , that shows them performing their "new song" at some reality
awards show.

The previews of Sober House look irresistable, although the addition of Andy Dick makes me want to gag. Amber is clearly the star of this show! And it looks
like we'll finally see something more from Rodney King.

Whatta finale. I was in t.ears. Seriously in t.ears. Everyone's story arch paid off. Busey was the one I liked the most last night. I thought he was
hopeless but the sick fuck was paying attention after all.
And now I understand the emphasis on the sober living house. Dr. Drew intentionally wanted us to see a shitty one so that when he whips out his intended one it looks fantastic. Then there's the relapses. I feel more hopeful for Steven, after reading about his relapse, to think it might have happened while in the house. Anyone else happy to see Jeff & Vicky go down the shitter? You know they'll be crawling back to Dr. Drew in no time. I see it coming. |

I'm just watching the finale right now. I loved it when Gary was talking about "speaking" at Sober Living and Tawny says "Are you going to
speak every day to us?"

That was a good finale, I was in tear.s too! I was happy that Nikki decided to go to the sober living thingy, and I was happy for the others who went too. I
was kind of sad Tawny didn't go though, I hope she is doing good right now.
I thought it was stupid of Jeff and Vicki to let the camera's follow them home too, I think maybe they were still under contract when that happened or something? I thought it was odd that they were still filming them. I really hope they don't come crying back to Dr. Drew or make another attempt to get on a televised rehab situation, they REALLY need help but I don't think Jeff really wants it enough and I don't think he ever really will..and Vicki will stay with him and stay that way forever. Sober House is going to be awesome! I am actually looking forward to seeing Andy Dick on that, and of course Mary Cary(sp) <3 |

I was a little teary at the finale as well. I used to work full time at a day treatment for the dually diagnosed (mental illness AND substance abuse). We staff always got a little weepy at their graduations. They worked so hard and were so proud of themselves and always got beautiful kudos from their peers. It was always heart-warming to watch. |

Steven Adler ordered back to rehab
Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler is going to spend more time in rehab. A court commissioner in Los Angeles agreed Friday to place Adler in a state-sanctioned drug rehabilitation program and keep Adler out of prison. Adler's court appearance came a day after TV audiences watched him graduate from a drug-treatment program that is the focus of VH1's show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Adler missed a court appearance last week, but told the court on Friday that he had been in another rehab program that he completed just earlier in the day. Los Angeles police arrested the rocker in July. He was charged with felony drug possession and a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of drugs. Adler will remain on probation.
