China and Micronesia were awesome Gabon had a fantastic middle but the beginning and the end sucked, it's still miles better than Cook islands/Fiji
(it's always darkest just before the dawn) though, so all in all we have 3 very satisfying seasons in a row. It's practically renaissance time since
the post-ASS dark ages.

China was great and managed to respark my interest in the show. It had great characters and was interesting throughout, plus it fixed most of the stuff wrong
with the past two seasons. Smaller cast, no exile, a new interesting way to isolate contestants from their tribe, decent jury size etc.
Micronesia took somewhat of a backwards step and brought back a lot of the stuff I didn't like. Plus it had a boring pre-merge which was very disappointing and the greatest survivor of all time was screwed over by James' crappy injury. The post-merge was so epic that it completely made up for all of the stuff that was wrong though. Gabon was so-so. It had great characters which are very memorable and some original challenge ideas. However, the pre-merge was very crappy. The post-merge wasn't great enough to make up for it though. |

Unfortunately, we are going to have to wait until season 19 to see if we get three good ones in a row. I thought Micronesia was one of the worst seasons by
far. The whole fans vs favorites idea didn't really work and I thought the fans were all boring or unlikable anyway.

Yay, these past three seasons have all been good. Micronesia was only good post-merge, ad Gabon sucked at the end. But these three were all good, considering
following CI/Fiji.

China and Micronesia were great seasons.
Gabon was okay, the editors really fucked up what could've been a great season. |

. Micronesia was only good post-merge, ad Gabon sucked at the end. But these three were all good, considering following CI/Fiji.Gabon's pre-merge was one of the worst ever. "Fang sucks" was even worse than "Ravu sucks" since they at least had Sylvia and Rocky. Micronesia's pre-merge had tons of great characters even if the gameplay was depressing with the quits/medivacs/Chet. |

I like them all except for Cook Islands, Fiji and to a lesser extent Vanuatu. But yeah, I'd say China/Micronesia/Gabon were three pretty decent seasons.

China is my favorite season. Micronesia was also really, really good. I don't care much for Gabon.

I think the post-Fiji seasons have been a mini "Golden Age" of Survivor. China, Micronesia and Gabon have been the best seasons since 1-4.

I'd say Gabon was a definitely better then an average season. Not one of the all time greats, but one of the better seasons. I don't know I loved Bob
since the first episode. I personally think we've had three solid seasons in a row.

Gabon was pretty middle of the pack for me, which is good considering that Fiji and CI are two of my bottom season. FvF was middle-lowish for me (a ton of
stuff was really good, but a ton of it was really, really painful), but I loved China. Seeing actual strategy being used (even by the people who got completely
owned like Jaime and PG) was nice, and there were some great moments (the JR boot episode is great, the James blindside was great). Also, it had really fun
people to watch (except for Denise and Amanda. I could have gone without those two in exchange for people with personality).

I bet if this were an earlier season, it would be up there with the classics. Diverse collection of characters (the essentials are present--villain,
sweetheart, alpha male, lovable old man, mastermind, lovable black woman, etc.), epic storylines, memorable blindsides.

I'd say 5 great seasons in a row. Cook Islands started the golden age for me. Also I think the seasons started picking up after Thailand

I enjoyed China but mostly for James and Courtney. They were so entertaining. I do think it was a good season for sue, but not one of the best.
Personally, I LOVED Micronesia. I think it is the best season thus far. Aside from the first. There was so much blindsiding in that season and they all really knew how to play the game. Gabon...not so much. It was better than China but that good. I think there were too many players to hate this season. There were less likable players this season and that really broguht it down. But still a good season. |

Agreed that it's been a great run......their first run of three.
Duos: Borneo/Australian Outback Amazon/Pearl Islands Special note for Palau/Guatemala/Panama - Exile Island/Cook Islands.....Panama was a classic while the other three were "good" seasons if not great. |
