T-Bag as the voice of reason when it came down to kill or not kill Gretchen??

I have never seen so many goddamned double crosses in my life as I have just this season on Prison Break. The whole Linc/Self/Gretchen/T-Bag group itself has
turned on each other about 50 times (including Gretchen turning on them tonight and then turning back on the buyer, T-Bag and Self turning on Linc, and T-Bag
turning on Sara to the General). It's just fucking ridiculous.
Michael sure does heal quickly. He had brain surgery literally a day before this episode and he's running around the woods?!? And I'm fine with the double crosses and all, but this is just getting ridiculous. Are we supposed to believe that the Company is so all-encompassing that they create their own enemies as well?!? We have Gretchen hinting that the buyer was in-house and this whole thing was a Company set up. Then Lincoln agrees to be a loyal Company man because he sees that he's destined for it since it's in his blood on both his mother and father's sides. Michael of course disagrees and will oppose him in the Spring. And then to top it off, we have the mother (who Lincoln supposedly held her hand as she died of Cancer), who we were told still works for the Company and does fabulous research on energy policies - is now the buyer of SCYLLA and is working to take down the Company and her son Lincoln from within?!? What the fuck? I am so confused as to the loyalties, it's just getting ridiculous at this point. And Self still doesn't do it for me as the bad guy. We're supposed to have T-Bag as the morally corrupt ex-rapist/murderer/pedophile. He's the voice of reason when it comes to sparing Gretchen's life?!? And for all reasons, because she has a little girl?!? I repeat, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH THIS SHOW?!? I love it and can't wait for the Spring... |

I think it's a classic Lincoln and Michael's mother against the General. The General was so hyped on getting Michael "on his side" that
everything was to that end. The mother probably has good intentions for the technologies, but the General, of course is in it for the money and power. And
Michael could be his son, as someone said before. It's like Luke Skywalker (Michael) against Darth Vader (the General). Yeah, things sure do happen fast
on this show and the twists are delectable.

Another riveting episode - gonna really miss this on Monday nights as well. I'm trying to think back over all the major plot points to see if they are staying consistent -
which then reminds me of what a nailbiter the first season was. That was still my favourite season and didn't have all the confusing plot points and double
crosses.

This keeps getting better and better the more ridiculous it gets. All the absurd twists and turns and double, triple crosses. And now their mother is alive!
The General trying to bring Michael to the dark side! Lincoln, Alex, T-Bag, Don and Gretchen all working together!
It's. So. Fucking. Good. |

I didn't really like the season finale. Some random thoughts:
1) Michael's amazing recuperative ability is classic for this series. He recovers faster than even professional wrestlers mid-match. 2) I was shocked that Linc didn't turn and kill Self. No way you want Gretchen and her evilness out of the series. She'll recover faster than Michael. 3) A few too many loyalty twists and turns for my liking. I think the plot stays better when you have the identified good vs evil and the guys are plotting against the evil. 4) Although T-Bag's concern for Gretchen's daughter and his fantasy world in which he would be a salesman are interesting, I liked the old T-Bag better -- when his superficial niceness would explode into killing anger. 5) In my mind, the mother being alive and involved is the official jumping the shark -- at least as much as can happen in this crazy and delightful series. 6) I hope Sucre returns. He has been my favorite good guy in the series for his heart of gold and his faithfulness to family and friends. My favorite baddies are Gretchen (her acting has been much better since the scripts now have her being a bad ass instead of always talking about what a bad ass she is) and, of course, T-Bag, one of televisions greatest characters. 7) William Fichtner and Robert Knepper are the best actors on the show. No doubt. 8) Can't wait for next season. |

I loved Michael going all McGuyver with his drano and the water heater.

The "Drano blows up the water heater" plot had flashes of season 1, when Michael used a makeshift tube of Copper Sulfate to weaken the grates under
the infirmary so he could aid in the breakout. But didn't that plan fail miserably when some janitor fixed the weakened pipe and trapped the group under
the infirmary? And how the hell does that relate in any way to a bottle of Drano, which is a strong base and has nothing to do with that plan at all?!?
I love how the writers hit us over the head with things like this: "Hey it's chemistry! Remember chemistry from season 1, well it has to work here!". Just like that bullshit from last week: Hey remember the elements Boron, Argon, Gallium, and Indium? Well they somehow can combined in a solar cell to harness 100% of the sun's energy. Just forget all that "real science" that you learned in school, like how Argon is an inert gas and won't combine with anything. It's randomly thrown together words from chemistry, so it has to be legit! |

Mahone and the rest of them would rule on the Amazing Race. I've never seen a group of people that can navigate from point A to point B with the ease as
they do. How did Mahone find them anyway?
Anyway...they need to stop this cat and mouse already. It's played out. With only six episodes left though i guess it doesn't much matter. I'll surely tune in next spring to see how it get's wrapped up. "We've gone this far already...." |

My understanding is that if the show ends this season (and it probably will), then there will be 2 additional hours that will serve as the series finale. In
the unlikely event that the show is renewed for a 5th season, then there will only be 6 episodes left this season.
So basically there are 6 episodes left if the show is renewed, and 8 episodes left if this is the final season (the final 2 episodes would probably be broadcast on the same night). |

So I finally got one of my friends to watch the show and we were sitting watching season 1 the other night and I must say, it really is leaps and bounds better
than season 4. T-Bag NEEDS to go back to being the T-Bag of old, this nice arc with him just isn't the way his character was supposed to ever go. Knepper
is so good at being T-Bag that it almost makes up for it, but I want to see some sadistic evil T-Bag before this show is over. It is to bad we had to have the
writers strike I feel like season three would have been much better had it been the full 22 eps and not the shortened 13, and thus a better season 4.

It's official. The show has been cancelled. The good news is that the final episodes will air in the Spring.
