Perhaps I should be surprised my douchery doesn't allow me to "get" his douchery. You'd think a couple of douches would go to the same meetings, know the secret handshake, and do the whole road-trip buddy sequence. At least we do both like to do puzzles. I am not, was not, and never will be a fan of his. There is something about him that just rubs me the wrong way. I don't see him as distinct, but in the same oeuvre as hundreds of thousands of like-minded men the world over: pretentious guitar-wielding douchebags whose music sounds similar to each other. I hate virtually everything about Series 07 of Idol, including him. I don't even like David Archuleta. I just hope that this upcoming series is so much better, and that we have a winner who will sell records and not be a colossal douchebag.

I'm actually a little surprised that Cook's album is supposedly not selling all that well. I'm glad because I think he sucks, but I really thought I'd have to endure the torture every time I got in my car. Thankfully not.

I don't know Jordin's exact numbers, but I think he may surpass her. Or not. Who knows. Also, I'm sorry the button on your radio is broken so that you wouldn't be able to turn the channel if a song you didn't like came on.

I'm sure some smartie will say, actually it's 967,446 albums but whatever, its around that area. David will pass that for sure. But 1 million in total is still great. I never understand the poo pooing of albums that only go platinum. I think that's quite the feat, especially since last years top selling album didn't crack 3 mil. People are not buying like they used to. A million sold is great plus all the downloaded single sales which go into the millions (like Jordin who's done exceptionally well single wise).

I wouldn't call Jordin a flop either. Yeah she didn't sell as much as Carrie or Kelly, but she has had a lot of radio success which is something idol needed after the disaster of Taylor Hicks. Now with all that said, I'm more surprised by David Archuleta's record sales. :O I would have thought his fanbase was the type that spent their life savings buying multiple copies of his album. I've definitely heard his single on the radio like 37 times more than David Cook's, too.

They play his song a lot more than Cook. It didn't necessarily translate into CD sales, but like Jordin, his singles may do better overall than the CD.
